20 years of hurt.. and I'm absolutely certain it'll be at least another 20.

I don't really care that we came close. Still no cigar.

If the RS played us every weeke they'd absolutely p"£S the league by 40 pts.

Go and support someone else if you cant take it....... lollollol

Silva looked geniuely devastated in the post match interview. Probably got the sense of how a typical derby kick-in-the-nuts feels. I just really hope he and Brands can sort us out somehow.

1 goal scored away to Chelsea, rs, Arsenal and the mancs and that goal was a pen. Numerous chances created and all we've got to show for it is 1 goal and 1 point.

Like you said Toff, we NEED to be more clinical

...agree but it’d be more of a concern if we weren’t creating. The balance isn’t quite there yet. Loved Sigurdsson’s pass to Walcott.

..for such a technically talented footballer, though, he lacks composure in threatening positions. Loved watching him today, but he’s just not very effective from a threat perspective.

I think some of it is the positions he's in when he gets the ball, he's typically got to get past someone and that immediately puts him at a disadvantage. If he had a bit more of the pitch to receive in and play with the ball, both him and us might get a little more joy. The problem is trying to accommodate elsewhere when what we're doing is essentially working. I think we have to just find a way to get him in more space somehow but he's already restricted by the touchline.

It was a good performance, no doubt..... but did we really do enough second half, struggling to think of even a half chance we created? Even though it looked like they were clearly flagging.

It's easy to say 'just one of those' but WHY does it have to be in the derby every 'kin year???

It's clear as day that our priority lies in sorting the situation up at the top end of the pitch. We simply can't afford to keep squandering good opportunities like this as it's costing us.

An improvement on last year in terms of performance but, and I'm sorry to say this, it means jack all if we're still utterly incapable of putting them to the sword.

Mate they missed as many chances as us also. We matched them in terms of chances and our best performance there in years. We also have to remember that Liverpool spend vast amounts of money each year so just to keep up with them is never easy and never will be. Our attitude to this match and against Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea shows that we are not miles away and a bit of fine tuning and some more correct purchases can see us get even closer. Too many positives to ignore and as guiling as it is to lose we are much closer in terms of footballing ability than we have ever been since the Premier league started. I am encouraged by this season so far but it is essential to keep it moving onwards over the next couple of seasons.

Digne clear MOTM. Excellent.

Walcott’s poor touch costs us again.

Siggurdson & Gomes are incredible techinically gifted players. So much class in those two.

Keane & Mina looks a prolific pairing.

Richarlison always looks better playing on the wing.

Crazy to think Walcott & Coleman are the worst of our first 11, after being the best last season.

I have to say, now we've recently played Arsenal, Chelsea, Man IUtd and the RS, they were probably the poorest of the 4. Luck can only get you so far. There are still 24 games to go. I think City will win by 12-15 points and then there'll be nothing to separate the next 4.
