BI'll give you 2 scenarios. What would you pick?
a) Lose to Liverpool, then beat Man City
b) Draw against both.
It's a riddle inside a conundrum.

LolNot really the place to be talking about your personal grooming habits!![]()
I was thinking that, but then I thought I should just concentrate on us. 3 points is better than 2, and I reckon City will prove too good for them come the end of the season regardless.B

Its funny this problem of us not being able to beat them at Anfield!
I really don't understand how a club, with so many different people in the playing staff, and coaches etc, can be plagued by the same inferiority complex and losing mentality in the derby and against Top 6 teams, unless the blues, or older players really have a negative influence. Is it really possible that people like Baines, Jags, Barkley, Coleman and maybe McCarthy, were so troubled by this that we just couldn't beat them all these years? or Dunc and the backroom staff are sharing this sense of nervousness and pressure? Or are they reading the reports and getting under pressure about this 10 years since a win etc
Whatever it is, here's the first chance in a long time that we have players from big teams - Ex Barcelona, Brazilians, Pickford, Mina and Lookman - all players who seem to have done well under pressure and may not be affected by this problem of the Derby jinx
!Maybe it really needed this big overhaul of staff to bring about a more confident and positive mentality against big teams.
Fortunately I’ll still be relaxing in Bruges for this game.

Me too! I'll still be putting myself through the 90mins once I find a bar with it on
The referee, Chris Kavanagh, likes his cards.

In his only game of ours he's reffed, we lost - Southampton in the Carabao.
I’m gonna run around with my Everton top on till a random bar tells me to come in from the rain.
Thats what I was thinking. Newer referee so imo less likely to be corrupted yet and also will want to prove himself with good refereeing to further his career. He’s not openly part of the kopite cartel though of Moss, Mason, Atkinson, Probert so that’s good news in itself.
