I think we'll lose this game. I'm fine with that (believe it or not) so long as we give them a proper game for once and let them know Everton are coming back.
This fixture has been an embarrassment for us for far too long.

Nah I want us to derail their title challenge so they’ll always remember it fell apart this season when Everton strolled up and took points off them.

I think Pickford, Keane, maybe Digne and our midfield trio would make it into that Liverpool team. Last season you would probably say Pickford would get in.

They're undefeated in thirteen games, conceding very, very few goals and have a massive psychological hold over us for decades. I know we like to think we can go there and win, but a realistic expectation is that, with our improved squad, we can put up a fight but will likely end up losing.

Fulham could have been two up at Anfield. They’re not invincible and we shouldn’t be treating them as such. They struggled past Brighton FFS.

I feel absolutely sick to the stomach with nerves.
Not felt this way coming into a derby in years.

There’s been no pressure on us in these games in a while, as we’ve been so poor the best we were hoping for is not to concede a rugby score.

Now the pressure is on us.
There’s non on them. Everyone knows how good they are up front and what their current form is like.

We’re the team supposedly improved with aspirations of taking the next step and we stand to look rather foolish if they turn us over.

But we have players who have played in big games and shouldn’t bottle it here.

My nerves are shot and despite what that lot say, so are theirs!

Come on you blues!!!!!!!

Its funny this problem of us not being able to beat them at Anfield!
I really don't understand how a club, with so many different people in the playing staff, and coaches etc, can be plagued by the same inferiority complex and losing mentality in the derby and against Top 6 teams, unless the blues, or older players really have a negative influence. Is it really possible that people like Baines, Jags, Barkley, Coleman and maybe McCarthy, were so troubled by this that we just couldn't beat them all these years? or Dunc and the backroom staff are sharing this sense of nervousness and pressure? Or are they reading the reports and getting under pressure about this 10 years since a win etc

Whatever it is, here's the first chance in a long time that we have players from big teams - Ex Barcelona, Brazilians, Pickford, Mina and Lookman - all players who seem to have done well under pressure and may not be affected by this problem of the Derby jinx

!Maybe it really needed this big overhaul of staff to bring about a more confident and positive mentality against big teams.
