the main thing with Walcott for me isn't his wastefulness in front of goal, it's how sloppy he gives the ball away in stupid positions allowing the other team 2 break ( united scored both goals from him giving away the ball ) and that's something Bernard does a lot better, keeping hold of the ball

Massive Walcott fan myself but yeah, this is my biggest gripe with him - ball rentention.

The amount of times he’s run into a corner and lost it is incredibly frustrating.

The press are now showing a few items on Walcott (via newsnow) and i think Silva and Brands must be looking at him and planning for a replacement.

Nov 18 - 'we definitely need an upgrade on Theo', 'he's far too inconsistent', ' there's a reason the top 6 don't want him', ' he doesn't work well enough with Seamus', 'He's far too wasteful', 'get rid'...

it does make amusing reading like ha.

...performances change and opinions change. A player can be outstanding for a period then experience a dip, and with that comes criticism. There’s no doubt Walcott has not taken opportunities when situations arise of late, which is a surprise given his reliability of old.

It's the extremes of criticism and praise i was laughing at really, he's always really really great or a waste of space, a saviour 10 months ago and we need to get rid now, just found it quite funny and not only Walcott who gets it.

Yeah the nay sayers always shout the loudest in the modern social media circles.

A good player going through a bad run of form in terms of taking his chances. His all-round game is still like it was, and he's still getting into those positions.

...yep, you have to think it’s only a matter of time before he scores as he’s still getting in great situations.

If he plays 38 league games this season I would expect him to score 10 goals which is a good return. I appreciate he is slightly behind schedule at the moment but a couple of quick fire braces which he's more than capable of and he'll be ahead. I also think he will contribute with a smiliar number of assists.

If his heart was as big as his talent he would be great but unfortunately he has never fulfilled his early promise in his career or at Everton and I honestly think it’s because he doesn’t put it all in.
