Big credit to him for those substitutions

Always think the ability to pick the right subs is underplayed somewhat when discussing a managers acumen

I think it's underplayed mate because 90% of managers don't ever get them right or it doesn't affect the outcome.. He had a right good sparkle in his eye when he was interviewed and asked about it because deep down he knew it had worked a treat and he must have been absolutely buzzing that those changes affected the result like it did

Great win, you can be sure of that. But it took a penalty save AND a hit off the under of the bar. Really want to see a better defensive performance.

They’re the fine lines though. When we’ve played well and conceded from a worldie no one ever says ‘that was close to a clean sheet’ they just come on and say ‘no clean sheet again’. This was one of the better defensive performances this season.

He could’ve drove straight past but instead opened his window and signed my boys’ programmes - thank you Marco, a true gent. Brilliant decisions today for those 3 points CO

Although we were worried in the stands, I get the feeling that the squad knew that eventually our quality would show, and it did. We’ve got real strength in depth now.

It’s just great to actually enjoy a home game for a change. Feels like it’s been years.

Was thinking at kickoff the players must look around and think damn we got some blooming good players here ! Which should give them confidence for every game !

Key to this has been Silva in making a concious effort to try and unify the fanbase and the team through his soundbites, tactics and expectations.
Well it only worked yesterday. the fans weren't exactly with the team for the West Ham game or the Huddersfield one, so I'm not sure if Silva is going anything different to others in that respect.

There's a big difference when the fans are behind the team in a tough game, as we saw yesterday.

I was fairly sure we’d win as soon as the penalty save occurred. Had that gone in though then I don’t think the players would have come back regardless of the crowd or not. The confidence of the squad still seems to be on a knife edge but for every action that goes our way it is growing so yesterday will have done no harm whatsoever.

On the hour mark that was. It looked like we ebbded and flowed after that rather than sustain an assault.

In reality we were one quality cross from Lookman away from a dispiriting draw. But at least the crowd didn't turn on them early. That was key. A lesson that needs to be learned.
