James McCarthy

Nah champ, problem is I've been between jobs for 2 months and I get on the froffies at 10 in the morning, and think fair dinkum good hour to get on GOT. Just read it outloud to myself, and realised it does sound as if I'm having a convo with the sheilas at the local boozer.

Point is Jmac was mint, when he was fit, which is now never.
Strewth mate

He lacks virtually every skill I would look for in a midfielder, but he does 'have a good engine' and does like to 'get stuck in', so i'm not surprised some of our fans think he's the second coming.

He is the epitome of a player who runs around a lot. The sooner we start valuing actual talent over players that “work hard” the better.

When you haven’t got ether though then surely you’ll take even one of these. Our current midfielders are lazy talentless cowards so i’ll take a hard worker over that lot until the Jan window.

«Hard work beats talent». McC is the type of terrier our midfield needs. Gana is good, but he doesnt have the size to really push players around. McC is good at terrorizing teams.

He was absolutely boss for us for a few seasons. It would be fantastic if he could return the form of that player. The lad deserves a break after all hes been through injury wise.

Imagine calling Gana lazy in order to big up a bloke who'd rather go out on the lash with his mates than get in the gym and get himself fit.

Is that accusation backed up with evidence? I’ve certainly never seen anything to suggest McCarthy isn’t a professional. Gueye dan around last week just long enough to keep his myth alive for another period of time where he can do nothing.

He is coming into his best form now, will be peaking soon.

Just a shame that this form and brilliant play will all crumble when he is actually on the pitch.

Just like in recent times when Bolasie and Mori were injured, they became better players as time went on.
I was thinking that too lol

The funny thing though is that when people are injured, we remember them at their best, and so the early Mcarthy driving forward with energy and good tackles & passing, is what we want now. We haven't seen that since 2013 though

Mori looked like the new Maldini when he was injured and Bolasie was Frank Ribery LOL lol

Its what I was told by an ex teammate of his. Obviously he could have been lying but I’m not sure why he would have been.

I think there are lots of criticisms you can level at Davies and gana, but calling them lazy is just, well, lazy.

Well there’s been absolutely nothing else ever heard on this so you’re accusing a player of being on the booze based on hearsay from a former team mate? Sounds even lazier than me saying Gueye is lazy based on watching his performances for 2 and a bit seasons.
