James McCarthy

By some distance a fit McCarthy is Everton's best CM. Gueye is a joke. He cant find a blue shirt with a pass. Davies has no real idea what he'll do if he does get hold of the ball. I had high hopes for Baningime before his injury/stalling.

And you be would incorrect.

James McCarthy - career pass % = 84.8.
Gana - career pass % = 86.4.

Obviously Gana is better at every defensive facet and actually goes forward with the ball. We'd be lucky to get 10M for him, but hopefully we'll sell him and Morgan in January to get a decent box to box assuming Gomes isn't lighting the world on fire by then.

Was crap even when he was good. Headless chicken with no football brain. Can't pass, tackle or score
This just isn't true cobber.

The unfortunate tale of JMac has been that he is a victim of very poor management by coaches which resulted in a plethora of injuries and made his value to the club obsolete. And when he finally looked to have overcome these niggles and start his castle dancing, he had his leg broken in the most unfortunate circumstances while saving a goal.

For the year we did have him fully fit and even when he got onto the castle in 2013, he was more than capable. He was so capable that the sky6 were circling. He was a fair dinkum galah with how much ground he tracked and the support he provided Gareth Barry. When he went down, we played crap. And because he hasn't squared up since, fans have (fair enough) gotten impatient and over him. But to say he was crap, is just bloody sprung.

What is this language you speak? Jive?

If he’s fit then he’s probably the only midfielder we have who can actually live with the pace of the midfields of the top teams. In Koeman’s Goodison derby in the first half he was actually suffocating Klopp’s mad dog midfield, when he went off and Barry came on we completely lost control.

If we can get him fit then some combo of him and Gomes May just make our midfield better than championship standard. That’s a huge if though for Everton’s medical team.

Nah champ, problem is I've been between jobs for 2 months and I get on the froffies at 10 in the morning, and think fair dinkum good hour to get on GOT. Just read it outloud to myself, and realised it does sound as if I'm having a convo with the sheilas at the local boozer.

Point is Jmac was mint, when he was fit, which is now never.

McCarthys first two seasons with us was fantastic. Give him the right tactis and partner, and our midfield will be great again(unless he breaks down)
