The fact they mentioned Everton in the fake news piece about him going Charlton rather then us shows me they know he is ours and aint happy about it
Yeah, it smelt of someone trying to tick off Everton fans, the fact it stated he was "interested in Charlton and not Everton" when it could've just read he's "interested in Charlton"

With all the rumours about him investing in us, then Charlton, it 'may' be worth noting that almost straight away he has come out and said he isn't investing in Charlton but he has never released a statement like that about us. Not saying he's coming to us but if he wants to invest in a sleeping giant, the only other club i can think of with history and potential are dirty Leeds. We seem to be a project much further down the line than them. In some ways Alisha, welcome home

For all those wondering why he hasn't already come here yet I can think of the following possible reasons:
  • It may hinder the council arranged loan, certainly will have a lot of negative press with the (red) locals regarding a super billionaire wanting funding that way.
  • He could be waiting for planning permission first/stadium to be built.
  • As soon as he comes on board any player we go for will become more expensive in both the signing fee to the selling club and the wages the player wants - perhaps he wants us to be a bit further down the road before starting.
  • Could be waiting for Kenwright to leave first.
  • If they haven't agreed on a set price for the remaining shares, perhaps knowing that Usmanov is waiting to buy them Woods and co can overcharge or the agreement is set to specifically sell to Moshiri alone.
  • He may never officially join but happy to bankroll Moshiri.
Or he wants to buy another club, but I can't see it being in this country. If he does buy abroad means he could still buy into us (as long as we don't meet in a European tie), or as per the USM test, be able to provide help without being listed and therefore have two bites at the cherry.

I hope everyone appreciates what a wonderful forum we all flit about here in GOT ...'cause herein there is significant nexus.

Thank you @magicjuan

...the Steve McQueen album?...I'm absolutely loving it.

O/T : I hope the fat bloke from the double landlocked country (one of only two in the world), buys us players who can win us trophies...

If he was coming in, I’d imagine it would be a similar arrangement to the one he had with Moshiri at Arsenal. He’d own 50% of the holding company, who have an option on Kenwrights shares at an agreed price (subject to Stadium). No need to agree a price with Kenwright.

This is exactly what will happen if he does come on board.
Blue Heaven holdings 49.9%
B Kenwright 12.6%
J Woods 8.9%
Once Moshiri exercises his options it will take him (Blue Heaven holdings) to 71.4%, add to that Arthur Abercrombies shares which are also included in the options and this should take him/them to around 75.0% with the other smaller shareholders accounting for the remainder

Missed out - Grantchester owns 8.3%

I think this is a really good post mate and essentially gets to the hub of the matter. There are lots of reasons he would wait and not invest now. So many that on the balance of probability it doesn't make an awful lot of sense for him to invest immediately.

You are right to say there is also every chance he sits in the background. Many owners do in Russia. When you see clubs like Watford being valued at £350m it's hard not to see him making substantial revenue from being a silent shareholder.

I would also throw in, that deals of such a nature, even with pre agreed clauses take time. In the area I work it is often weeks before a verbal agreement leads to a signed Contract and further weeks until it is rolled out "publicly" (and that is much smaller than the figures being discussed here!). I have always felt once the stadium stuff is sorted movement would occur "quickly" after but people need to understand the context of quickly. This is likely to be weeks if not months, not days.

He may also go abroad. He may choose to opt out. They can't be discounted.
