Meh, I wanted him gone long before his injury, he's taken far more from the club since 2014 than he's given back. Nearly every other injury he picked up before this current one were ones that were very preventable and the player himself caused them to happen through sheer stupidity.

Once he's fully fit I'd look to move him out, perhaps on loan with an option to buy if the loanee club use him enough. He'll probably get another chance but I struggle to see why anyone may feel he deserves one.

Davies struggles shouldn't cause people to forget just many times McCarthy chose Ireland over us and let the club and previous managers down.

Our best defensive midfielder without a shadow of a doubt. Wins the ball - lays it off. Nice and simple.

Gueye and Schneiderlin are both way below McCarthy's level. The only one who could match and surpass a fit McCarthy might be Baningime. It's a shame his career seems to have stalled with injury.

I would guess that physically he is now 100%. The next step is getting back into contact football and getting over the mental barrier. I expect this happens at a different speed for everybody.

Miles better than snides. Not by any matter of means world class on the ball , he is very limited in possession but an excellent ball winner and keeps it simple. However can he stay fit? Last chance for me.

You are wrong mate, technically he’s not better than Schneiderlin, the only common ability they both share is passing timidly with no real purpose.

Physically he might match Gana but his ball winning ability is not as good.
