Not really . Le Tissier was top quality and a wonderful no.10.
True - I'm not suggesting they're on a similar level. Just that sometimes a player who you forget is even on the pitch but then pops up with something memorable can be a useful thing, but it's a dilemma whether their place can be justified over someone who gives more for the whole game.

Goals win matches. I'm all for having grafters in the side, but surely we have room for someone who can change the game with one touch?

That was one where he could have teased out a pass there today.
All it takes is for a quick pass through the middle for one of the forward players to touch on. The amount of times Sigurdsson was stood with his back to goal waiting for that pass, and instead it goes to a full back on the halfway line. I still think there’s a fear of losing the ball.

Game was crying out for him today. Could’ve have replaced either Davies or Siggurdson with half an hour to go and based on his performance against Rotherham deserved to get an opportunity off the bench. I’ve still no idea what that Baines substitution was about.

Gifted player but just seems to be lacking that something to make it in the PL.

Ahhh yes that premier league grit where midfielders run around at 100mph all game....maybe he could learn a thing or two from premier league midfielders Jordan Henderson or Will Hughes ??
