What are the chances even if we get a deal/deals sorted beforehand we save it for the media-fest that is transfer deadline day...?

If this is the last window before Usmanov rocks up we need to effectively do multiple deals at the same time to stop people knowing we have a massive amount of cash. Just imagine 4 or 5 new players off the back of deal sheets that have signed subject to a medical.

Rejected a 20 mil move to Milan.

As much as he`s a great player and he`s everything we need in the middle, it looks like he`s just that bit too old.

I`d love him here for a couple of seasons, just while we were getting our shiz back together.

but the road to signing them has been extremely slow and painstaking

The comforting thing about having Brandalf on board is that we're no longer reliant on Everton's notoriously dodgy fax to get deals done. Brandalf comes equipped with his own, super quick Shadowfax.

That's what happens when you have a world cup, new manager and DOF. I'm glad they have fully assessed the squad and got rid of any deadwood before they committed to new signings.
