...with a fortnight to go in this summers transfer window, here’s what the Thursday morning rumour columns are saying about the Toffees;
- Spanish outlet Sport, claim Everton officials have travelled to Barcelona to get a deal done for Left Back, Lucas Digne. Barcelona will not sell for anything less than the £14m they paid 2 years ago, but the former PSG & Roma defender is said to be keen on a move to Goodison.
- Ajansspor report in Turkey that Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign Besiktas’ 29 year old Centre Back, Domagoj Vida, but Everton are plotting to hijack the deal.
- Tuttomercatoweb say Wolves have joined the race to sign Barcelona Centre Back, Yerry Mina, submitting a £17.8m bid. The Express suggest Everton are the front-running English club, but Mundo Deportivo say Lyon have bid £26.7m for the 23 year old. Lyon President, Jean-Michel Aulas is quoted as saying his club are in a battle with Everton for the Columbian.
- According to the Mail, Manchester United Manager, José Mourinho, must sell before he can buy and Everton might rekindle interest in £22m rated defender, Victor Lindelof.
- The Liverpool Echo quote Marco Silva saying he ideally wants a squad of 22-24 outfield players (including one or two youngsters), plus 3 goalkeepers to work with.
- Sports Mole pick up on Everton and West Ham interest in F.C. Augsburg Centre Back, Martin Hinteregger. The 25 year old Austrian made 31 appearances for his club last season and has 30 international caps.
- 4th Official continue to link Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen with a move for Everton’s 25 year old midfielder, Davy Klaassen.
- The Liverpool Echo suggest RB Leipzig are preparing another offer for Everton winger, Ademola Lookman and could go as high as £25m for the youngster.
