Usmanov

Always have since the very first second Moshiri was linked.

Based on nothing but second guessing.

Even those cynical must admit that when he shifts his Arsenal shares, Everton will be #1 on the list of football clubs he'd get involved in.
It would be a surprise if that wasn’t the case

The biggest factor is what the potential of the Waterfront project holds.
Buying the iconic Liverbird building was the biggest indication that there is serious business power to be gained from this regeneration.
Everton would be the jewel in a vast crown of opportunism.

USM could monopolize the area potentially.
Yeah maybe, but I thought he did that in October by admitting he'd sell for the first time;

This bit here;
Yeah.

Good point about the city location though.

Anyone know why they don't get along?

I'm not sure there is any specific reason, other than two very wealthy, headstrong individuals both wanting the same thing and in truth neither of them getting what they wanted. A big part of that is because the other wouldn't play ball. It's easy to see how rivalry and hatred emerges/

USM are not shareholders.

Technicallly I would say they are mate. I wouldn't be shocked if Moshiri's funds come from his USM fortune and if Usmanov buys another PL club and they both invest right then he could have 2x clubs in the CL rather than one.

IF Moshiri is using USM funds, why buy into Everton and have one club in the CL for example when he could buy West Ham, both he and Mosh invest in EFC & WHUFC and have them both around the CL thus having 2x slices of the PL/CL pie.

I dont see it happening personally.

I see the two of them being in cahoots at Everton and Arsenal like a consortium, one at Everton the other at Arsenal.

I think because the stake in Arsenal grew in vaule so much , they said to themsleves it makes sense to double our exposure in the PL. Cue Mosh coming to Everton so one holds their exposure in Arsenal the other in Everton, they double their exposure to the gravy train. Why would you throw the whole lot in at Everton when you will make more in your investment at Arsenal and Everton. Then just Everton.

The only time i see that changing is when their investment is better off wholly at Everton, i'm not sure that is the case.

Just my opinion mind. I dont accept the sporting or vanity argument.

This is exactly what I feel, it makes no sense.

Technically, they're not. USM aren't shareholders.

Where funds came from does not change who is technically a shareholder.

This doesn't really make sense.

Usmanov (60%) and Moshiri (10%) both have shares in USM who have the naming rights to Finch Farm.

If Moshiri's money comes from his "USM fortune" (which a portion of it does) this doesn't mean that Usmanov has a stake in Everton. That's like saying if I bought some shares in Facebook that means Mark Zuckerberg owns my house.

There could absolutely have been plans for Usmanov's eventual move to Everton in the pipeline since Moshiri joined - but I'm pretty sure that if this was shown to be true there would be serious repercussions for Usmanov, Moshiri and Everton (would probably open us up to legal action from Arsenal etc.).

It would be difficult not to recignise an 'influence', we had one before with Pip Green, there's two common denominators there and they're both called Bill Kenwright.
