Usmanov

The club is at its lowest point in 20 years. For 525m you can buy Newcastle for 350m, and put 200m into transfers. Or 30% of arsenal who are way off even getting top 4, and kronke makes all of the decisions.

Partnerships like that don't last at 50/50, let alone 70/30.

What are you talking about ??

Its not about running a football club, or playimg Champ man in real life. Its about making money. Having 30% of Arsenal makes money, you make a yearly profit on those shares for doing nothing, other than owning the shares.

Thats what business is about, and hundreds and hundreds of investers would love this on their investment portofio.

Wonder how much Usmanov has made from his shares, despite having no influence.

Also, there's every chance someone coming in would have some influence. Kroenke just wont work with Usmanov.
Both are good points. For lots of investors having no influence means having no responsibility. I also agree with you that Kroenke and Usmaniv seem to have personal as well as ideological differences, which may not exist with potential new investors.
Anyone know why they don't get along?

This isn't any new information, he's been actively looking to get rid since he said so months back.

This is just some extra promotion of that fact.
The only new-ish bits here are the admission of defeat by Usmanov to Kroenke - probably actually means it this time round. Where he ends up is another matter.

Yeah maybe, but I thought he did that in October by admitting he'd sell for the first time;

This bit here;

"I would like to assure supporters that I am open to various future scenarios - a constructive partnership with the majority shareholder, the purchase of his stake either alone or in a consortium, or if a party appears who shares my and undoubtedly the majority of fans’ vision for the club, I could consider the question of selling my stake."

The biggest factor is what the potential of the Waterfront project holds.
Buying the iconic Liverbird building was the biggest indication that there is serious business power to be gained from this regeneration.
Everton would be the jewel in a vast crown of opportunism.

USM could monopolize the area potentially.
