Everton also hope to finalise the £18m signing of Lucas Digne from Barcelona after Marcel Brands travelled to Spain on Friday to finalise negotiations. Brands also wants to recruit Colombia centre-back Yerry Mina.

Though the Colombian has initially said he will fight for his place, Barca only have three non-EU slots and they want to allocate one of those to Willian should he sign from Chelsea. the other two are assigned to Philippe Coutinho and Arthur Melo.

^ Can't work out whether we're actually after Digne or whether we are just trying to force Celtic's hand. I'd be happy with either but Tierney seems like he could have more potential so it's strange if we are haggling, especially since The Joyce said he was Silva's top target.
I HATE THAT PAPER

Richarlison / Digne / Mina and a striker (Batshuayi on loan?) would represent an excellent window, provided we make more progress on shifting players out. Relative youth, quality, depth.

We'll start the season with gaps come what may, but this is work in progress as we all know.

Klaassen to Werder for EUR 14m in particular would be excellent business.

I hope we can get Lookman to stay, but have the feeling they'll accept an increased bid. That talk isn't going away, and I think they'll want to recoup at least one player for a decent enough fee given the incomings.

We still would need a CM.

Excellent news ! - means he has re-evaluated his original plans based on the pre-season findings.
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he was shocked at how bad we are. What I managed to see of us last season we looked like one of the worst teams in the league at times. But obviously our league position made it appear that we were far better.

I'm interested to find out how much we've paid up front for Richarlison

If it's more than 25 million then I'll to question why we were prepared to go that high for him up front but wouldn't do the same for Tierney

Questionable stuff

answer to that is pretty easy

Silva has worked with richarlison before and knows his qualities, Tierney is more of a gamble given the league he plays in

( I do like Tierney though and think he'd be a boss signing )
