Liverpool were looking to pay £15M for him before they got Allison. I'd say he'd be there for no more than £20M at a push. Sell Pickford for £50M and that's good business.
Nick Pope is no better than 20 keepers in the championship or Bundesliga etc that you can get for £5-£7 million.

Well we spent £45 million on him, so he should be able to step up and play the role. He has done it for Swansea, it's a question of the team being strong out wide so the opposition can't crowd the middle.
Sadly there's nothing in his past that shows he can run a game or is particularly creative from open play

LOL.

Let’s play your game then Dave.

So we sold Pickford for 50mil, Burnley know exactly how much money we’ve got.

Do you not think that they’d want nearly all of it for Pope ???

Madness.
No chance. Pope was there stand in GK a year ago. They'd get real and sell for the big pay day.

If we do invest heavily in the coming weeks and secure: Richarlison, Mina and Digne, I wonder what Moshiri will expect from Silva this season.

I’m guessing a minimum finish of 7th, but if we’re outspending Arsenal and Spurs on a regular basis, surely we have to look to overtake the both of them within the next year or two, otherwise what is the point of it all?

You underestimate the value of a good keeper Dave. Striker, then keeper, then Central midfielder, then centre half, the 4 most important positions.
I concede he's a good keeper and that he's what we require right now. But I dont believe he's unique. I think we can get as good in now because it's available and we can use the savings to buy much needed players in other positions.

Imagine we sold Pickford and with the cash secured Pope and forced the hand of Celtic to get Tierney...good business or bad business?

Bad business. Selling Bolassie, Mirallas, Besic and another piece of deadwood and buying Tierney is good.

Splattered your bills on this one Dave.
