We constantly pack out our ground, we have been known to go on longish cup runs and still, we havent got a penny to spend and still the Kewnrong arse lovers still defend him, laughable.

Wasting your time Davek lad, they are happy to get out spent by Wolves and Bolton.

Awful isn't it?

They'd have stood by David Koresh at Wako.

You're a wannabe David Koresh you.

The Cult of the Kenwrong.

I'd like to know what businesses Davek's ever run? And what liabilities you've ever taken on being a communist that you are like? We know your politics which explains ALOT. Did you ever default on any of them liabilities ? I bet you did.

Just saying.

What makes Davek so fit to critique on Everton on pretty much every subject like he's Chairman Mao or something?

....

Stop being silly! Comments like that are bad taste and have no place in this conversation.

Everybody keep it nice and civil in here.

Never mind borrowings: it's lack of investment and a sound business strategy that necessitates borrowing. How can you look at that list and be so sanguine about it? You haven't got a critique at all.

I have plenty to be honest mate, but i dont think you make the points that need to be made, or objectively.

The lack of investment thing, really puzzles me, do you genuinely beleive its better to have private equity investing then being self sustainable. Praticularly with a change ion the lanscape of football finance looming. As for the buissness strategy, im pretty happy with how much the buissness has grown over the past 8 years, how the debt ratio has come down, and the improvements on the pitch in the same time frame.

Plan A is still a billionaire then! I really cant fathom the logic to be honest.

Plan A hasnt changed, attract investment, we have 2 Major shareholders who cant "invest" and 1 Major shareholder who wont "invest". Something has to change.

Purely to ensure the stadium (infrastructure's) secure and built on time...

thats the logic.

But a sustainable business model for a football club - rarely if at all needs a billionaire ...

Mate, 'how the business has grown'? Take away the tv money and Everton would be playing in the Liverpool Business House League by now.

The breakdown is 49 mill from Sky/Premir League and 31 mill from what the buissness makes, slightly harsh, it was 14 mill in 2002.

I dont really get the the whole we should be guilty for the TV money debate, if everyone gets the same then surely it should be looked at in comparrison to our performence on and of the feild with other clubs. Since we're not debt ridden and our Turnover to wages ratio is prob one of thebest in the league and we have gotten Eruope more often then not, does that mean we manage our income and indeed TV income better then most other clubs?

I am happy with past transfer window transactions.. Like I have said before, if you know your history then you know damn well we have been told we have no money. So to see the likes of Landon arrive on loan, players of the like of Felli arrive and an over all strengthening of the squad, then I think Davey and Bill have done bloody fantastic considering what is at their disposal. I am also pretty certain that they will now do everything in their power to keep Pienarr at the club between now and January. The fact he is still here seems to have been forgotten. If he really was not happy with what the club had to offer then why did he not go when it was clear there was interest?

I was not expecting much as we were told we are skint! But, last year, and year before people were ****ging Davey off for doing deals on the deadline day and you were all asking why he could not do it early. He does it this year by doing his dealings early, yet we are now all p***** off that he did no deadline deals. Were skint, as we have been told, dont expect much. The club has been run remarkably well considering what we have in comparison to people we have been competing against in the table around us when May comes.

This is why I will always support Bill and Dave as the transformation of the club is damn remarkable.

Take the tv money and the sales of talent like Rooney/Lescott/Johnson etc etc and the sale of assets like carparks, housing, Netherton academy...and God knows where we stand on Goodison Park's ownership. They put all their eggs in the stadium building basket and have failed twice. They've expected to grow the business from a nw facility and let the rest of the 'shop' go to rack and ruin. Dont believe me? Go and take a look at Elstone's evidence to the Kirkby Inquiry. You'll see in his own words how the club have failed to invest in the ground (worst record in the Premier League) and still struggle badly on the merchandising side of things.

You're pushing a very big boulder up a steep hill arguing the club has been performing up to snuff as a business. About the only two positives in ten years has been the L1 development and now this mooted annexe outside the Park End.

You've been saving that up davek lid havent you!

Actually mate, I hadn't. I just cut and pasted nearly all of it from Toffeeweb's player transfer page just after the window shut last night.

Frightening though, isn't it...for such a "well run business"?
