Kenwright's Wrongdoings?

Love to hear them, from what I have read on TW, BK, NSNO, the blerts over at KEIOC and here - I see hot air, very little substance but an awful lot of hear'say.

If anything I believe Kenwright is far too romantic towards Everton to be a lying scumbag that many make out. I also believe he is far too trusting and believes too much of what he is told by those who surround him.

Nobody and I mean nobody can ever say that the man does not have Everton's best interests at heart. On a shoe string, and without incurring half as much debt as supposed bigger clubs have amassed, he has built a club that has a very good squad, a well loved (by some) manager, an excellent academy with state of the art facilities, and a feeling around the place that this is a great club.

How many players felt that for most of the 90s?

Getting a bit sick of people diving in and making outlandish claims with no proof at all. Saying that he is selling the family silver etc...has he? are we in as much debt as Liverpool? Man U? Have we amassed debt and then got relegated? Has he sold us out to dodgy shieks and arabs that have ****ed Pompey over? How about selling us to dodgy Icelandic folk who ****ed over West Ham?

I think some people need to get over this blockade that they have setup which prevents them from listening, thinking and having a rationale thought about our chairman.

Sure I criticise Moyes, I think he makes weird decisions - but he's been a good man to have at the helm and has done well. I think he can do more, and it frustrates me to see him not take some kind of risk, but I can understand why he doesn't do it - as I can understand why Kenwright doesn't give the club up to some American group who just want to use it as a vehicle to facilitate their own debt repayments.

So go on, what exactly has the man done wrong?

Exactly. Nothing. Great chairman he is.

I agree, great post Ghost

As far as I'm concerned the man has hit nail on head. All those haters (and they know who they are) can throw stones, but come up with a workable solution? They become clueless. Wonder why? Easy to criticize, even harder to come up with a workable solution which is why those haters will forever be spitting in the wind (and the gob flowing back to hit them square in the face).

He aint' perfect, some of his homilies make me squirm, but he ain't Dr Evil.

I don't like buying into the merry picture that is painted by the media of Kenwright; loving chairman, devoted to the club etc.

Simply because I don't just buy into anything because it's on the news.

But now that I think about it, everything the Kenwright haters say is based on hearsay. They make assumptions. That's equally, if not more, idiotic.

So the stance I take is quite simply, I have no opinion on Kenwright. Because I'm not ITK. I don't know what really happens, good or bad.

You see this is why you have such a bad reputation here mate. You have your one view and you never shift from it, and it's that one negative view that distorts anything else to do with the club.

Its not all a conspiracy theory. When it rains, god isn't taking a piss on you, you know what I mean?

For the record, when was the last time you were happy with Everton? I suspect you've never had that emotion - and for that I feel sorry for you.

Clearly the Kings Dock and Kirkby events have tainted him forever for some, that and not being a mega-squillionaire with a puond note tree in his conservatoir.

I'd happily jump in the hot-tub with him.

BK is great but noone will feel sorry for us when we say that we have a squad that can compete with top 4 and then when we miss out and then say" we didn't spend much"...we don't need money atm but just 30 million every season would be great. It's not much these days

Is £30m a season enough to oust the chairman?

I do actually think he's an honest guy, and clearly his heart is at the club. People started taking a slanted view of him since the two stadium failures and the total lack of investment generated into the club since he first arrived.

Im quite content with him at the helm of the club tbh, certainly for now at any rate.
