Why could you see that? Honestly go on, why?
Because he’s barely had a sniff of action and he’s seen that he’s more than capable of holding his own playing centrally in a top league, in a team going for CL places. Why would he tolerate being told he’s not experienced or not physical enough for first team football any more.

Can he physically handle the prem starting a game though? He always seemed to look better coming off the bench against tiring legs imo.

If we havent got the money to make big changes then he should start out wide but tbh I would like to see wholesale changes up top.

Walcott Siggurdsson Lookman

Tosun

Its a decent front 4 but Walcott aside I would like to see the other 3 as very good options from the bench with a 20 goal a season forward, a Lanzini type No10 and a Mahrez/Tadic type left sided winger come in.

Just out of interest then, who is this player who is going to score 20 goals a season and want to come to us? You know, in the actual real world...

I don't get this whole not physically strong enough for the premier league thing. You get less space in the lower leagues playing against grocks week in week out. Players with tonnes of pace don't need to be strong/tall to be effective. Klassen on the other hand, no pace or strength, you can see why he'd struggle.

So you’re replacing Sigurdsson with lanzini, who hasn’t set the world alight this season and is another player who turns up when he feels like it. And then you’re replacing Lookman with tadic, who’s been awful for 2yrs and must be nearly 30. Add to the fact they would probably cost 50mil.

If we want to improve them positions then at least let’s try and buy real quality. Or target top quality youngsters with potential, than wasting fortunes on journeyman prem players. Like we done in the last few years.

Because none of the people that have told him that are anywhere near the club anymore.

HEs been here 1.5 years and seen the likes of Mirallas and Bolasie picked ahead of him consistently. I’d imagine he’d need strong assurances from the likes of Brands and Silva that he’ll get plenty of minutes in his preferred position.

Well if you actually READ my post you will see I never said replacing them WITH Lanzini and Tadic I said players of that TYPE ie. A creative no10 who can pick a pass, get in pockets of space like a Coutinho/Lanzini.

Same way a left sided midfielder who can drift in central like Tadic/Mahrez/pienaar in his prime.

Who knows but did you expect Salah to score 32+ goals this season? Maybe if the club actually scout players we may find ourselves a bargain...

I’m sure he'll get those assurances after hearing Brands’ interview. Don’t forget in the time he’s been at the club he’s been unfortunate enough to only play for The Hamburglar (the worst manager we’ve had in 50 years) and Sam Allardyce who hates flair players.

There is no better time for Lookman than right now. Are expectations of everything Everton related are the lowest since he joined us. Most of us are accepting of another 7/8th finish again next season so long as the team actually play in a manner that gives us hope for future seasons so now is the time to give him 90mins on a very regular basis.

You did put their names in your post. Now if you had said coutinho & marhez then fair enough. Obviously they would be difficult to attract, but that’s the quality we should be looking for.
No bang average players like lanzini & tadic. There is a reason they play for Southampton & West Ham respectively.

Yep. You are talking about Kieran Dowell.
