1st on the team sheet, lynch pin of the team?

Or impact player, plenty of graft but no creativity?

Is he a player who would get the ball in the final 3rd, turn and slip a defence splitting ball? Or is it just all about sticking his head on the ball?

Both depending on the opponent. Sorry for the non-answer.

He's very aggressive in a team often lacking aggression in the attack. That's his best characteristic in my book.
He can change games but if Moyes gets tied to the same old tactics because of his limitations as a forward, it's not going to work.

With that said, my favorite Everton goals are those in which Cahill outjumps a 6'3 centerback and puts his head on the ball.

I'd rather he was playing upfront again. He did really well there when we had a lot of injuries, so maybe it's time to play him there again with either Bily or Rodwell in his role.

Lad , its been a bad day .

But , Timmy ; Journeyman ??? Are you sure ???

Record headed goals in premier League History - He's 5 ft 7 .

He's an Everton Legend . The system didnt help today , and he did Backfords graft for him , but Journeyman is hyperbole of the most red-topped sort , mate .

Sorry , but that's me opinion .

Timmy is an Everton legend & considering our lack of trophies that's saying something! But with this squad we have now, I don't think he should be playing every game, because the role he plays hampers our options when it comes to picking a system.

I was impressed with his footballing ability today. Good passing, and nearly slipped Beckford through on one occasion. I didin't know he was capable of that

I had this realisation last season, after his backheel assist in the Europa league. Cahill is a good footballer, but exceptional with his head. So long as he's fit, he should be starting, in my opinion.

FFS. He was the only on the scoresheet today for us, and there's still people questioning him.

It doesn't matter what any one does, someone's going to have a moan...no skill, lazy, can't pass, can't cross you name it. The only thing that changes is the scapegoat. It's entertaining, if anything.

It doesn't entertain me. It embarrasses me.

We have loads of intelligent, passionate and respectful fans, we really do. But boy, do some utter nonces love our club.

He's a very good player, surprised people have only just noticed that after what, six years.

If anything I think he's become a bit too tied down in this half midfielder/half striker role. Saying he limits us because he forces us to play 4-5-1 is a bit of a joke really, he's shown on numerous occasions that he's comfortable as a centre mid or as a support striker or even as an out and out striker. It's not his fault Moyes has 4-5-1 tattooed on his bum.

Of course he can play centre mid in a 4-4-2, he's not exactly Gareth Farrelly. But he's no Arteta, Fellaini, Rodwell, or even pienaar for that matter. he's just not as comfortable on the ball as these players in tight situations(unless he's got his back to the play) and that's essential in that role.

I love timmy, don't want anyone to get me wrong he should be STARTING about 30 league & cup games a season, some games though could do with something else.

Journeyman? You must be off your rocker! Tim Cahill is a catalyst for the Toffees! Whenever we need a goal, he's normally the one to score it. He may not have all the abilities of a big time superstar, but he's an impact player. I think any Prem team would love to have him in their squad.
