Hi everyone, been 'lurking' for ages, but I feel I have to stand up for Klaassen. IMHO there is no way that you can say for sure that he can't cut it in the Pl. The modern game is all about partnerships on the pitch, finding the right blend etc. etc., and whereas I agree that he hasn't pulled up any trees, who's to say that in a team full of confident and skillfull players, he wouldn't prosper and grow, perhaps even into a regular goalscorer from midfield, which was what we bought?
I also have my doubts, but the current squad needs a complete makeover, more than anything in the sense that it has to be cut drastically, and I would just hate to see him get sent off without a proper chance of proving himself. Just my opinion, of course, and please forgive any bad grammar or spelling, as I am a Danish evertonian, and has been since the late sixties:)

To be honest I didn't read all of your post. The reason is that literally ANYONE could see klaassen was massively overrated and wouldn't fit in the premier league just by watching a few Ajax games.

Sanchez, De Ligt and dolberg were the ones to go for...each with huge potential.

Played liked someone possessed in today's cameo. Belatedly fighting to be part of the club's plans for next season.

Do you all think he'll cut it next season in your best first 11?

Watched this fella with interest when he came on to see what he does, and on two occasions he took up great positions between the lines but we just don't have the ability to find him, has he got pace no but if you've got speed of thought it can make up for lack of pace.

How's your football manager save going?

No pace, no way he should be in this league. £25M worked Ajax's way by Koeman at Everton's expense. Sting operation.

Yeah because Rooney and schnidelin are just pure pace aren't they?

There are plenty of players who have made it in this league with no pace. Not only made it but won it.

Anyone who says "no pace won't make it" doesn't have a clue. Especially when regarding a midfielder :coffee:

The problem you’ve got here is we either keep him and he doesn’t play seemingly

Or you sell him and probably lose half maybe more of what you paid for him

Either way it’s too embarrassing situations

Rooney HAD pace, this lad is 25 and doesn;'t have it so will never have it. Oh, and Schneiderlin? Lol. WTF is your point bringing him into the debate? He's hopeless too.
