Ok I agree that I probably got a bit carried away with myself.

However I would add two things. Firstly, Allardyce does indeed have many personality traits that are common place in sociopaths. And when I say many, I could probably come up with at least a dozen if I tried hard enough. Secondly, many sociopaths lead normal lives and most casual acquaintances will even consider them good blokes/lasses. Many are able to control the more sinister traits associated with sociopathy, which only really come to the surface when they are backed upto a wall. Allardyce is a very wealthy individual and is extremely unlikely to ever be in that position.

You seem to be putting him in the same bracket as most football managers (apologies if I got that wrong) but I disagree with that entirely. His ego is on an entirely different level.
"Many are able to control the more sinister traits" blah blah ...

It may be, but do you really think Fat Head will trust in youth? The lad comes on in the derby and affects the game then is dropped and shunted out on loan. Do you really think it was his foresight to send him to RB? In fact he blamed the lad for wanting the move and questioned his choice instead of stressing the positives of playing in Germany/CL. How would you feel if your manager threw you under the bus like that? Do you really think he couldn't have played games ahead of a half fit Bolasie? I am pissed off because despite being very raw Lookman was one of the few promising sparks this season.
Gonna be honest, Lookman has done nothing this season really. Hasn't actually done anything since he came to Everton.

A loan to derby would have been a better move imo, more game time and chasing promotion - but each to their own.

And Sam actually does play youth and has given lots of minutes to our young lads over the season.

Apart from Davies and Kenny who were blooded by other managers who has he given minutes to? Beni and Vlasic have had a few minutes here and there, Vlasic was dropped in one for one match then not seen for weeks then gets five minutes at the end of a few matches. Beni should have been in for more games but Morgan was reinstalled straight away as soon as Gana was out. Holgate was our best CB and dropped. Is that really giving youth players a chance? We have nothing left to play for these players should have been playing same with Klassen, if they aren't good enough we need to find out. You find out nothing with them on the bench. As for Lookman doing nothing he is 20, how many games did he play? His last two appearances he scored two and helped create a goal in the derby. And is that compared to the super productive seasons our senior pros have had then?(sarcasm)

They had a pretty bad game though, Leipzig, losing 5-2, and Lookman did look a bit out of place in that game... I watched the second half and while he did have some good moments, the whole team looked dysfunctional

But I guess that shows you, even in a bad game this kid has spark.

If we lose him and/or Vlasic, that is going to be such a big gutting of our youth

Lol. Take the "out of necessity" part out of the equation, who has sam "give lots of minutes to our young lads to"?

While I think there are a lot of us who have reservations about him, mostly from his losing the ball a lot and defensive lapses, I think just about everyone here would prefer him as our starting winger right now. Because theres nothing Bolasie brings to the table that Lookman doesnt already possess, and Lookmans issues(defense, losing the ball) are the same with Bolasie, except Lookman has a spark Bolasie doesnt.

Plus he does score more than 1 in 30.

Im sure Bolasie should not be in the squad next season. Im not convinced Lookman is ready to start for a top 6 side(if thats what we aim to be), but he should at least be in the mix, and hes ready to get a chance, especially if we dont actually go out and sign a top winger(25 million+). We just dont have anyone better at the position right now.

So right. It seems the more season pros who have been the back bone of the hammerings and collapses over the last 3 years get forgiven time and time and time and time again. lookman who came on in the derby. Did very well. Then banished. Vlasic? How is he supposed to prove himself stuck on bench at most. Besic? Sniderrubbish gets in ahead of him. Laughable. What does snides offer. Nothing. Maybe besic isnt a top drawer player but he isnt any worse than that that wimp snides and he will give 100% and get tackles in. It really doesnt add up. What a great opportunity to give the young players here now game time. Will it happen .... Na.

Holgate under lots of scrutiny with the racism thing and is also having an operation.

Vlasic been really poor when played. Lookman did make a goal/assist or whatever but he generally looks well out of sorts on the pitch. When he starts games he tended to be massively anonymous.

Lookman deserved more of a chance sure but I also don't think a loan was a bad idea.

We aren't going to be playing a full 11 of youngsters are we tbf?

Also, every one of our young lads is crap according to 90% of the people on here.

End of the day would you prefer to build for the future with players with the potential or revert to a team of mostly failures? Of course you need a mix of youth and experience and not every young player will be good enough. But this kid has never had a run of games, even coming off the bench and his talent excites me. Sam clearly doesn't seem to care about building anything.

I’m not supporting it really, I’m just trying to be fair to Sam in the level of criticism he gets in this thread.
Do you think its fair the one sided way this loan has been portrayed in public by Allardyce. Forget the merits or otherwise if whether he should have gone on loan, do you think he should have lambasted him for going to Germany. Having set a rod for himself he then reacts angrily every time questioned about it, even trying to make out he isnt getting much game time which is a blatant lie. Then RBL coach shows an interest in making it permanent he says show us enough dough and you can have him.

What message is all that sending to the lad?. Remember this kid is one of the most promising in the country and Allardyce is behaving like a schoolyard bully. Other highly rated kids around the country will take a look at the situation and say no way Im going there. Even our other young players will be thinking I need to move on.

No I think Allardyce deserves all the stick he's getting in this thead because its a classic example of why we shouldnt have appointed the man in the first place.
