Isnt it more like 2200mins now? Agree with your sentiment though ;)

What in the name of Zeus are you on about? That's rhetorical lol

So you list the facts to prove my point...then try and make an excuse for them...lol

Its just common sense really...

Where do you come up with 1 in 8?

Surely the logic is simply to show that even top players need time...could use Drogba as an example...theres loads.

2 starts with one up front.
7 other sub appearances I think its four up front...

He's got a goal and 2 assists from 3.5 games worth of play,

Yes ... the fact is we didn't have another striker at the club and this is why he got game time, he's not good enough and if we had even a half decent striker he wouldn't be able to oust him. Liertally the same reason coco got played... we had no one else to choose from, would you consider coco to be a good player? No ... because he isn't and DCL was only getting kind because we had no striker.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think we’re that far off? sell the rubish (Williams, bolasie, shniederlin, klassen, Sandro, niasse) and bring a new winger to replace bolasie. baines’ new apprentice, a centre back to play wth keane (if he ends the season in the form he did against liverpool) and with the young guys coming back into the squad ie, lookman and Williams with a healthy gylfi I don’t think we’re in that bad of shape and I don’t think making too many starting 11 changes is a good thing, hopefully brands and Fonseca are here to get Fat Sam and Walsh the [Poor language removed] away from our club make the right decisions either way.
P.s yes I know I’m on the forum late but it’s not quite as late here in Canada lol

But he's not good enough either ... he has a scoring knack but his allround game is bad... DCL has a better allround game but can't finish... if you could give niasse DCL allround game he would be ok and same if you could give DCL niasse scoring knack and finishing ... but as it stands both aren't good enough

Mate at the start of the season we had no striker as koeman said niasse won't play for Everton again and needs to leave ... that is when DCL got most of his starts... obviously unsworth couldn't sign anyone and so DCL only had niasse as competition... DCL will not get many mins upfront next season if we buy even a half decent striker as he isn't good enough

I do agree ..but I would keep Klassen for now. He has barely played yet in that time showed glipses of having the right stuff. What we need around him are quick wits, We currently don't posess many of that ilk. Hopefully after a preseason and a manager willing to give him a chance i think his one touch play could unlock a fair few defences next term.

What are his stats from his loans?

Not great reading. Shows he got his experience then came back into a team that created chances for him.

Off the top of my head not great. Neither were his U21 stats tbh.

He started scoring out of the blue in Poch's first season. He first started showing great form in EL and ELC matches and lack of goals from first choice strikers in PL forced Poch's hand.

Its as if somebody flicked the on switch.

I would agree in theory with you there mate.

Its just wether that is the route we will take is another thing
We could easily bin off the young lads because they are not getting game time, not manage to get rid of the rubbish because of either the fee we want for them or the wages they are on
Make a mess of the recruitment again.

Personally it is much easier living in hte theory of we aren't far off and that is the take i would have on it

He was scoring 1 in 3 at Championship level at 18 years old. 1 in 3.5 at League One level at 17. He was showing all the signs of being a natural finisher and was very highly rated, but he went on loan to a struggling Norwich side where he didn't really fit the style of play because they wanted to use Grant Holt as an experienced target man, don't really know what happened at Leicester but he obviously didn't do brilliantly there despite having a good record at that level the season before.

In short, Kane is a phenomenon and seeing as this is the transfer thread, I would be extraordinarily happy if we manage to sign somebody with his scoring ability this summer.

Agree with all that apart from him showing all the signs of being a great finisher. I only ever saw him play in the England youth games and he was a handful certainly, but I never saw the natural finisher in him.

He is now certainly. In fact I think he's probably world class. But that ability just came practically overnight.

Did you actually watch him as a kud for the likes of Orient.
