He led one of Europes elite, to a decent trophy as captain and struggled in a team with no confidence when he got here. He got a massive shock and I imagine its been tough to go from the main man to a struggler. He hasn't moaned and I presumed got his head down, worked hard and is trying to put it right. If we can't get behind a guy like that then what's the point? It may turn out to be a step too far for him, but from what I've seen, there really is a player in there and with more confidence we may see it. Not giving him a go won't help anyone I don't think.
Beautiful. And helps with restoring my faith in Everton. Great post.

I feel a tinge of guilt for the lad as he's effectively missed a season of football coming to our circus. He's deserves a chance to show what he's about. It's the least we can do.
In fairness, I don't think we can really judge any new player on this season. It's been an utter shambles.

Possibly the best post in GOT history.

Welling up here.

Spot on mate, I called it early doors that in my humble opinion there's a player there and I am happy that the overwhelming majority see this also, watch him go next season.

Great post was there and give him a good reception as hopefully to give the lad some confidence instead of him being left isolated from games deserves sometime on the pitch till the end of the season to see if we can get him playong

Sadly, three managers, a professional coaching setup and shrewd football watchers like me thought the polar opposite and were proved correct.

Sell post-haste in the summer and let Davy stay as this unfulfilled promise of talent.

He is a true hero, a rags to riches story. A player who only cost us a paltry sum of mid twenty million struggles to get by in life on his rumoured 100k per week.

He has also fought an illness of being scared in possension but he has rose above all of this to win us over by making a sub appearance against the 10 men of mighty Brighton.

If Gary Oldman has any decency he would give Davy that Oscar he won last week.
