Interesting list. Couple things...

...Dowell isn't in the best form right now, so I think lumping him in with those guys is a bit premmature, nor would I consider him a winger or even an outside player. Vlasic can play a bit out there, though, so think we can lump him in there.

But your point is spot on and is the big concern. Bergwijn is good, but we've got a lot in that area of the pitch coming on.

Dendonker isn't quick, although a good player, however do we really need to replace Morgan? If we are going to pick up someone like N'Zonzi who can get forward, too, fine, but we (and really any club) cannot afford to have some slow, limited player sit in that hole that never goes forward. I also don't want anyone in that role that can't keep up with attacking players. Tired of seeing players at the top of the box make one quick move and get a clean shot off without Morgan even moving. Gana should be in that role. Better to look at a box to box that compliments Gana better.

We can also pay De Vrij, but I'm not sure if we should. I'd be a bit surprised if one of the big 6 take a run at him. Not entirely sure how good he really is.

Good points bud

Dowell has been on the bench recently i think, but id be interested to see what a new manager thought of him if he impressed pre season

I actually pretty much agree with you on this, Gana is our best defensive midfielder and not many teams play with that immobile sitting midfielder these days

I think with De Vrij being availible on a free that pretty much cancels out us getting hi. Chelsea love a bargain and need to replace Cahill, Spurs may have to replace Alderweirald, and apart from Bailley United need another centre back. Thats even before we move on to the likes of Inter, AC, Juve, even Barca etc

There are plenty of Left backs available for free in the summer..

Kwadwo Asamoah - Converted midfielder playing for Juve, no more than a squad player there currently.

Jordan Amavi - At Marseille, used play for Aston Villa.

Davide Santon - Second choice LB at Inter now, had a decent spell at Newcastle.

Luke Shaw - Good player with bad injuries. doubt he would come here, to be honest.

Luke Shaw isn't on a free. United exercised an option on his contract, and he's back in the fold at United now anyway

Somebody should tell Transfermarkt! Mourinho said it was done though so he's out of the picture. I'd be happy with any of the others I mentioned too.

Santon is terrible mate, quickly dropped at inter when he moved there.

Asamoah would be a player out of position now as he has been a midfielder for a long time. Like signing bale and playing him at full back.

Shaw is in the team and will succeed Ashley young it seems

Amavri isn't very good.

Thread doesn’t really matter until we said Walsh.

Can’t wait to see what over rated, Prem players he can buy to add to:

Williams
Bolasie
Sigurddson
Keane
