Truth is he doesn’t know how to utilise them.
Same as England managers with Paul Scholes, how he wasn’t pivotal for England god knows if he was Spanish or French would have been a legend and again with Lampard and Gerrard.
Can you imagine any manager saying Iniesta and Xavi are too similar so can’t play together.
It’s just mental to think two talented and intelligent footballers can’t play in the same team together.

never gets respect scholes imo ... come out of retirement and won utd the league

Remember seeing Scholes playing at goodison for united reserves mid 90s probably around 1994. There had been a lot of talk about united’s crop of youngsters prior to the game, in particular a lad called Beckham. Everton won the game easily 3-0. However the lad that really caught my eye was this little ginger lad in midfield. I thought his stature might go against him in the premier league, but I’ve yet to see a young player or experienced player, with the passing range and vision he displayed. Of course he went into to win the double the next season along with Beckham and the rest as they say is history.
What a player, shunned the limelight and seemed a decent bloke off the pitch as well. Underrated by some non-united fans, but never by players who played against him.

Steven Gerrard won probably 50 caps down to clueless England managers lobbing Scholes out left. Not that Gerrard was a terrible player, but the obsession of shoe horning him and Lampard into a team at the expense of a far more talented player was plain daft.

Anyrate, whats this thread? Klassen.

Feel a bit dirty naming those ^^^^ players in it.

Back to the original point mate, it really does make you think what happened with regard to Klassen. You’d think anyone would welcome the challenge of going to a team challenging for the league and still in the champions league at the expense of training with Everton. If it is true it is down to the image rights story, then Klassen has obviously put money before his footballing career. Sadly a trait we see too often in modern day football.

I really want him to do well for us. You suddenly don’t lose ability to play overnight. It’s unfortunate that he wasn’t able to go out on loan. He needs to be an option off the bench and eased into games.

Fantastic player Scholes. By all accounts a to bloke. I think he didn't have an agent because he said "why would I need one?". Superb.
