No and I can't disagree with that. I think most managers would have failed in the same circumstances though. It's an annual thing for their managers and they have had some decent ones.

He could have resigned, but they were threatening anything from 6-18 months gardening leave. I can see why, for am ambitious coach that was a no-go. Watford should have let him go, and in failing to do so have screwed themselves over along with Everton and Silva.

I can understand people want a bigger name manager. Our last search has ended up with us taking a fella who hasn't finished in the top half for about a decade and has recently managed Crystal Palace and Sunderland. I have very little faith that we can deliver and close on a major deal, particularly for a manager within a club. While there is undoubtedly an ambitious rhetoric from Moshiri with each passing day he looks more delusional to me, a problem heightened by the incompetency and low expectations of his board.

In that context I am very wary about setting our ambitions much too high and ending up keeping Allardyce or with another equivalent appointment. The fella has managed Sporting and won the league in very impressive style at Olympiakos. He seems very much a good appointment for the level we are at, albeit not a perfect appointment for where we want to be or where Moshiri thinks we are.

Who do you think we could go for come the summer mate? Do you think we could attract a Tuchel?
Of all of the managers tenuously linked with us he is the one I'd be happiest with but the fact he was at home watching daytime TV when we had a vacancy would make it an unlikely prospect.

And you think that Silva is the man to lead us to safety then? Based on what? Being relgated with Hull or his recent form with Watford? Not wanting Big Sam isn't a good enough reason to want Silva here.
Come on. He can't be blamed for Hull and we were the cause of the recent form.

He has premier league experience and is a good foreign coach who may actually be able to get this team to play some crazy football like passing and then moving to receive the pass or and I know this is perhaps being overly optimistic but looking forward after receiving the ball instead of back or sideways.

Plus with our recent form I think we are going to need another new manager bounce sooner rather than later.

Again who would you want?
I'm not pretending I have the answer to all our problems mate but I'm telling you that it's not Silva. I'd of stuck with Unsworth rather then have Big Sam but I'd take either of them over Silva. None of those three are long term solutions which we will really have to address in the summer.

Haven’t said I want Silva. I don’t want Allardyce either, and never have done, was quite vocal on here before we got him that he would be awful. He has been worse than I thought. Positive for Silva is, the style of football he would try to implement might actually be nice to watch, rather than absolutely dire where we still lose like it is now. Anyone we got in now is only short term stopgap anyway.

Oh please, don't give me that nonsense about us being the cause of Watfords form. Theirs enough of that nonsense being spouted by Watford themselves without out own fans buying into it!

The only premier league experience he has is if being relgated and then having a good few mouths before being found out at Watford.

He's mearly the latest in a long line of garbage managers that our fans fool themselves into thinking would be our latest saviour.

I supported Unsworth right up to the Saints game but without the little run after Sam came in we would now be in the bottom 3.

Now I do think the little run came down more to luck than anything else but under Unsworth we were getting hammered by teams around us.

I couldn't care less about the type of football we play If we are still losing and we would lose just as many games under Silva as we will with Allardyce if not more. The only positive argument in Silva's cause is that he isn't Big Sam and I'm afraid that's not enough for me to want him here.

Found out. Some of the players were asking him to take them with him to Everton so of course that is going to unsettle a team.

Of course we should take him,

Who is better will come/we will attract serious question?

Simeone - no chance
Ancelotti- we wouldnt go for him as little ambition
Tuchel - ditto above
Fonesca - again doubt we would approach someone outside of the league.

Watford looked great before we turned Silva's head - I would have him over Sam in a heartbeat.

I know Rhino wasn't the answer. He's another guy who was sabotaged by this despicable side we have who down tools quite happily and stab every manager in the back. None of the three options being talked about are any good but Silva is the worst of the three for me and is onky being talked about because he's the latest flavour of the mouth.
