Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

We don't know if Kenny has or hasn't heard anything though mate. Both clubs have briefed the media that they wouldn't be saying anything except to co-operate with the investigation

Can't stand these incidents in our games. Always non-football related incidents make it so messy.

Obviously I'd also rather stuff like this doesn' happen mate as it ain't good for my marriage either lol but if Holgate believes he's heard something untoward he has every right to proceed with making a complaint and to see if an investigation is warranted.

I honestly can't see what he has to gain from making it up and the way he reacts ( he full on grabs the refs shoulder to turn him round to say you heard what he said ) tells me something has been said. Has Kenny, the ref, Lallana heard anything? Not sure mate but something definitely riled Holgate up suddenly

Another issue about the camera angle, there is no way Holgate would know at the very moment Firmino cant be seen on TV, lets say he didnt do it and at that moment his face was on camera, would Holgate really make something up knowing full well for all he knew Firmino was on camera? no chance

People accusing Holgate of just making it up to avoid a red card. As if, when he knows these days there are cameras everywhere and nearly nothing is missed, he would do that - he'd have to be the thickest person ever.

Hopefully if Firmino has said it, he admits it as he wont know it hasnt been caught on tv.
