Player Valuation: £35m
Can’t believe we are gonna end up paying £30m for this fella. More money than sense these days.
You haven't factored in the dithering.
We are suppose to be a team that's trying to get to the big times, it's said we have a decent amount of money to buy top players, if we want this Tosun I would assume he has been watched and is judged to be a top player, if all that is the case why are we arguing over a few million?. I know it's not nice paying over the odds, bit if it isn't to much higher, does it really matter if we get what's judged to be a top player. Man Utd wanted Lukaku's badly we under sold him, he had 2 years left on his contract we could have got £100 million for him, Say Tosun price is £30 million the extra would have nearly paid for him. We were always slow with transfers but since a so called specialist called Walsh has come in we have been worse and the players have hardly set the world alight. Come on Everton if you want to be big SORT IT OUT.
Guys, what you need to understand is when it comes to transfers our president Fikret Orman (Fiko) is a pain in the ass.I don't think this transfer taking too long is the result of Everton board's actions.Today we transferred Domagoj Vida who worth 9M Euros on transfermarkt for free.He is in his prime and if he had 3-4 years in his contract he would not go anything below 20M Euros in this market. At the start of the season we offered 2M Euros and Dinamo Kiev wanted 4M.Fiko left the table and he waited until january and bought him for free and this isn't the first time he does that.If we gave 4M at the start of the season we would probably be the number one in the league with Pepe and Vida in the back. What I understand from Cenk Tosun transfer is Fiko's attitude doesn't change whether he sells or buys.He will absolutely wait until summer if no one gives him the money he wants.
For people who still think Dembele is the better choice than Cenk I have some words. You guys can give chance to young guys time to time, but you can't make a 21 year old guy your main striker in EPL.You already have DCL and you need someone experienced and good enough for EPL in front of him.Cenk is a 26 years old all around striker who has lots of CL experience with 25 national team games and he can score with his left, right and head.Dembele might become a much better player than Tosun when he become 26, but the question is: Can you guys wait 4-5 years? I would go for Cenk.I don't think he will be a flop.He has a great body for EPL and he is very ambitious. He is not a guy who is gonna wait balls in the opposition area and lay there. If he can't get the ball be sure that he will come back, chase the midfielders like a defender and always press the defensive players of the opponent. He will work his ass off to contribute, but sometimes he can get angry and get a yellow.
From what I hear your coach doesn't love playing attack.Cenk is used to playing with a creative guy in his back(Ozyakup or Arslan) and wingers who love running to the box to give pass, shoot(Babel) or cross(Quaresma) to him. Also our fullbacks love to come forward.Just put him up front and create him some chances near the box.He will score for sure.

Sure about this !!!Its important not to get fleeced though, clubs will look at the Lukaku fee and what we did with Gylfi and chance their arm its part of having a higher profile in the transfer market.
For me this is done, the player is in the country, he wants to join - that is great news. Its just the dance. They cant do deals for a replacement without certainty, look what happened to Swansea for pushing out the Gylfi deal for an extra five million, didn't do them any favors, likely probably relegated them.
I don't understand why my citizens would come here to talk Everton/England down.
Their fans have welcomed us for honest and useful discussion.
But also I have to remind you that all the numbers mentioned in media are of pure speculation so no one can blame Beşiktaş here.
If you think Besiktas trying to raise the agreed bid, just take a look at Beşiktaş chairman's interview on November, 2017:
"I'll never sell Cenk below £20 m."

So this is nothing personal
btw let me add also a new claim:
Cenk has told the board that if he's not allowed to join Everton, he'll ask for an improved contract.
Hopefully this is all going to end very soon.
