“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Some might not agree with me but I wanted to say the following.

He is not my choice as manager (if he gets appointed) BUT I will get behind him due to him being the Everton manager, if he is appointed. Always remember, the club is greater than the individuals running it...and especially now I think the club needs its fan base more than ever. Make no mistake though, I am disappointed but will give him the same courtesy as I gave Koeman (also wasn't my choice)...a clean slate and get behind the manager (whoever he is) for the clubs good. If he doesn't work out after a while we can of course voice our opinions etc, but until then we should be there for the club, manager and players.

Everton will get through this with our support. Being a supporter means we stick together through the good and bad times, that's partially also where our pride lies. We say we are the best fans...lets show it and give whoever is appointed our full support. Sometimes when things seems at its darkest is when a turning point can be reached...sometimes when everything seem so desperate is when something good might happen. We never know what lies around the next corner and until then I think we need to be there for the club and players more than ever. We NEVER should stop feeling proud of Everton, regarless of our situation.

We can feel hurt, worry and feel in despair BUT we are Evertonians with blue blood that strengthens us...and my goodness do we need it :)

So you feel ashamed big Sam is taking over, but not the fact we have not won the league since 1987? Our last major trophy was back in 1995? If we are such a big club we should have to wait so long. Man City & Chelsea will win more than 9 titles and we will keep slipping down the list. The only thing Everton Fans can say is they have played more top flight league games than anyone now (and football league founder member). Arsenal are the only team ahead of us to play more season in a row at the highest level (though we have played more seasons at the top level).

We are a just an above average premier league club - nothing else. We will never be bigger than last seasons top 6 and other teams are catching us up. What people thought of everton in the middle 1980's is totally different to what is they are in 2017.

Agree with the first part. People need to actually put the future of the club first in their mind when they decide whether they want Allardyce. Would they rather Allardyce until the Summer who grinds out some awkward points and keeps us up? Or a fancy name like Marco Silva who takes us down. None of us know how Allardyce or a Silva would do with this current situation, but i'd rather bring in a manager and face the "humiliation" and a bit of ridicule in doing so if he keeps us up, rather than appointing a name that is less embarrassing but could take us down.

I don't agree with that bold bit though and if you think that you've given up too easily. Man City were a joke of a club before they won the lottery and for all Spurs' progress, they still never win anything and bottle it in any crunch game they play. The key to our chance of success in the future is the New Stadium, just like it was for Man City. If we get one, we will be in a far better position to challenge those 6 and it may lead to even richer owners who have seen actual evidence of the progress of the club and not just talk.

Which is why it's vital we stay up and if that means it has to be 'Big Sam' then so be it. This team is heading for the drop and people need to understand how serious the situation is and how diabolical we are rather than deluding themselves in to thinking we could bring in exotic names like Silva, Tuchel, Ancelotti.

I couldn't care less who manages us anymore. I hate Allardyce but if he saves us, great. I don't go the match anyway, I can't, so me not going if Fat Sam manages us won't make any difference.

I won't set foot in GP while he's there. It's my choice and anybody who doesn't like it can get to #*&!.

The man is a crook.

The club has never needed us more

A lot of people hated Mike Walker but they were still there for that Wimbledon game

Goodison needs to be in full bear pit mode if we're to get out of this

Play in front of dwindling crowds and we're already dead before a ball is kicked

If you feel you can't come because of one man, then fair enough, but I'd ask you to consider whether our club could truly survive taking a plunge into the 2nd tier, because if we don't back the team now that outcome is all but assured
