This idea that we’ll finish 7th almost at will.
Well this will be the third time in 4 years that we miss 7th. Newcastle are being taken over and there are other decent sides with competent managers (Leicester, Southampton, Watford!) as well. We need a very good manager to get this current squad anywhere near 7th.

I was sort of using 7th as a metaphor for general midtable mediocrity, but I agree with you yes.

I agree. Be damned with experience yada yada hoochie mama and take a risk. We won't reach the heights with a safe manager.

Sick of his crap tbh. It was total spin to suggest all blues are right behind him. Of course we want to see him do well and of course we want him to win. But I don't know one person who wants him as manager. His decisions have been dire. To spin goodwill as support for him getting the job was pretty bewildering tbh.
