David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Feel sorry for him he had to come into this mess caused by others - and into three away games on the spin.

His days are numbered in this role though.

Wrong timing. And I doubt he'll get the chance again.

Can't imagine worse conditions for any manager to have his first serious crack at the job than the ones we've got going on now. Nevertheless, in the games against Leicester and again tonight there have been enough clues to suggest that this is a little too early for Unsy. I think he'll make a good manager but the timing is just all wrong.

I don't for one minute think his position with under 23's will be under threat from above, just worried his own confidence will be dented and he will be going back thinking, am I good enough? Is this as good as it's ever going to get here? When in reality it was a near impossible task in the circumstances and his reputation should not be muddied by it.

He needs 1st team management experience, doubt he'll get it here so he should move on (if he can) and get it, because I think he could be a good manager.

The same reason we sold our centre forward before getting a replacement in .we think and act small time
Lukaku's sale was all wrong, it wasn't enough money he was worth 120m and we should have said take it or leave it, or at least took a player from them we made it to easy for them. We should have asked for Rashford or Martial they wouldn't have been kean, but then we should have told them to forget it. He still had 2 years on his contract so there was no rush.

It was the right decision to sack Koeman he was and has done so much damage to this club, it couldn't continue the only thing that annoys me is he's will have been paid to leave, what a joke. Unsworth deserved a chance but unfortunately looks to have failed we are now nearly to an international break, someone will then be sorted I'm sure if that.

He may now go out and try his luck in the lower divisions.

I respect what Unsworth did in giving this a go, because it may well burn his bridges getting back to his old role.

Looking at it selfishly we should all want him to go back to doing a great job with the kids but if I was him I think I'd be tentatively looking elsewhere for the right top gig.

No Dave I feel if Dyke comes in Unsy will either be no 2 or go back to the 23s
Whoever comes in will need local knowledge at no 2 imo the situation is dire!

He's been thrown in the deep end but he's still doing things that had long been established as wrong. Playing Martina, playing with no striker, taking Gana off when Schneiderlin was on a yellow and playing our £45m record signing out of position (yes I know he's been turd but playing him as a striker is just stupid).

No fair play to unsworth don't think the club will burn his bridges but he might find it's harder going back into his role 2nd time around and look to move into a managerial role
