Don't understand the calls for a top manager. What does that even mean?
Think a lot of people are forgetting this major point. They’ve had months of a certain style of play drilled into them, it was clear from the off that he wanted them to press high but they fell back and deep into their old ways.
But from 48 hours together, I was shocked at how much he actually got out of them

I don't think people realise the situation we are in.
We probably don't have a striker in our ranks that has double figures in them, Rooney maybe with penalties. A pitiful Rooney at that.
A defence with three centre halves, two are finished, and one who's early promise has disappeared quicker than the Arteta money. A finished left back, A crocked right back, and a midfield where no-one has shown any form, that we have used about 12 different players in different positions, including a lad who started tonight who 9/10 fans never even knew existed. Yet they welcomed him, because the rest have been abject.
We are in deep doggy. If you can't score, and don't keep clean sheets, you will fight relegation.
The cloud masquerading as Koeman has lifted. It will be interesting to see how many changes he makes over the next few games and if transfer fees impact his decisions.
This attitude kinda bothers me. Basically this is saying that a player is crap if they don't live up to their fee. I mean Rom was beaten to death with his fee as was Bolasie. Gylfi is the current poster boy of a player getting destroyed because of his fee...Davy ain't too far behind.
It's like going to an expensive restaurant and blaming the food for not meeting expectations. The blame for good food tasting crap is not on the food...the chef is the one folks need to lob abuse at.
Tip the wait staff regardless.
My point concerned his meeting with Moshiri is Friday. Hopefully the man will allow Unsy to make lineup decisions based on his evaluations of the players rather than the transfer fees he may have paid. But I get your point and agree with it.

Fair dos. Wasn't having a pop at you...just the whole transfer fee crap that fans bang on about.
Like players actually are to blame they cost a lot. It's a weird thing that folks on here love to beat players with. Like they created the market situation.
...and to play this out a little further, I think you're both implying (and I agree) that becoming a monied club has not done us any favours. Arguably we were better at signing quality players when we had no money (Cahill, Arteta, Jags, Baines etc). Now we're splashing the cash it creates an expectation for a return on investment. The bit that I dislike the most though is Ronko persevering with out of form players, shoehorning them into the side out of position when better, younger talent is available (Davies, Lookman, Kenny).
Yes and no.
Being monied is so very important...especially these days.
The recent chef has made our expensive food taste horrible though.
