Walsh clearly signs the younger players and scouts/recommends players but the manager decides who to buy. Look at the article on dispute between Koeman and Les Reed at Southampton. He wants established first team players that exactly who we've signed. These are Koeman's players.

This is what i believe also. There is no way that some like Koeman watches enough football to know who Vlasic or Lookman are. I also imagine that Koeman might have wanted Hart but was talked into the Pickford signing.

I dont think sacking Walsh would be the right move, we need a manager who is going to work with Walsh and build something for the long term and not a manager who only cares about making himself look good in the short term.

Koeman watched Vlasic for two games and bought him.

How do we know that Walsh is at fault for the terrible performances, hes not picking the team or working on tactics and formation Koeman is responsible for that.

When you sack a manager its a big transition for the club, if we sack Walsh it could take years to get back on a steady footing.

With a DOF role you need to give it a few years because he isnt just looking at players for the first team hes looking at scouting the young talent who could break through into our first team and thats just as important for the long term health of the club.

I truly believe that this board want a long term successful manager and are willing to be supportive (transfer kitty) and patient for the right person, at the moment they think that person is Koeman (i disagree) but i think its almost impossible to judge Walsh solely on what is happening with the first team results.

Walsh didn't scout or sign Vlasic.....the kid turned up twice against us and got signed.

Wait so you think sacking Walsh would set us back years? Think I need to go to bed.

This is totally right! Why can't people see the differences between the roles. Walsh is planning for the future, I think something like that was said when he signed
