Ronald Koeman discussion

The big fallacy with that is we sold all of our salable assets. Barkley is nominal if anything. We have nothing left to sell to make money because we bought MOST of our players in the last 3 windows at a highly inflated valuation.

I agree pal, I was saying the other day to a friend of mine what ''big'' names do we have left or top young prospects who would command a big fee? I couldn't name one.

Barkley like you say is probably the last one, and his fee will be minor due to his contract status.

*flagged

Is this the same way you said we wouldn't spend more than we received? Yet we smashed that completely wrong notion to the tune of £40m+

Did you hear today Koeman saying he had total support from the board? So yes he isn't getting sacked

Also regards to the transfers.. If Niasse deal and Barkleys had gone through which were both more or less done, we would have.

Can't we change the image of Ronker on this thread? Its particularly annoying rocking up here every 30 minutes or so to check whether he's been sacked and seeing him staring back so self assured like that.

How about one of these instead? Unless anyone else has a more suitable one?

"Really Ronald? I just need to win 2 games out of 8 next season and I get millions"?

I've heard countless owners give votes of confidence to managers. I heard Leicesters assistant manager on 5live for an hour+ on Friday night completely oblivious to what was about to happen on Tuesday.

But I sort of agree, the sacking won't be anywhere near as soon as people are suggesting IMO, but if the form doesn't improve I can't see how he'll get as many as 14 more games (ish) until Christmas.

When it's all said and done, I think the players stick up for each other. It isn't just Davies. It's the likes of Ross, Mirallas and Niasse as well. I can't help but feel like some have a little resentment towards Koeman for the way he has treated them. Kev has issues that he needs to resolve in terms of attitude, but he would bleed for the club and is a popular figure in the locker room.

Tells a story that he signed a new contract and then wanted to leave in the summer

Any normal, ambitious club would have sacked him by now. He's had plenty of time, and plenty of money. The fact the team has regressed rather than improved during his 14/15 months supports that.

However this is Everton, and it would pain the board to pay his compensation. Like I say the club are more than happy as long as we stay in the league.

Didn't notice the bottom paragraph, if Giroud was dove and Barkley and Niasse weren't, then it could've been a £70m net spend.

I never expected Koeman to be this crap. Losing with sign of promise is one thing, maybe even getting better over the weeks, but we've gotten worse and seemingly have not one character in the team. No sort of reaction.

No.

I was never enthusiastic about his appointment it must be said....I could see neither rhyme nor reason in the way he was pursued so doggedly and given such an outrageous salary for a man with his CV.

But never in my wildest dreams did I think he would be this awful.

Regressed from what? Where's your benchmark?

You used the word IF as the main point of your argument about net spend, lol you lose!

It's only a matter of time. Koeman is holding on by his finger nails. If I was moshers id be demanding who agreed the lukaku sale without a suitable replacement in first. Unless of course moshers needed the cash for his leccy meter. Who knows. People's club my hearse

I would say Moshers okayed the Lukaku deal and the buck for the ensuing fiasco stops right on his desk.

Exactly. There is something horribly wrong with Everton Football Club atm. For me, this is the first time we have amassed a considerable amount of young talent. Because of the way things are being run, we may miss the opportunity to emulate Dortmund or Tottenham.

I'm too bored of it all to write some 'I told you so' claptrap...

Sadly, theres no happiness to being negative and right about everton.

Id be happy if we suddenly started winning and were successful even with koeman in charge.

Everton Is most important and yet I don't have the energy to be bothered at the moment.
