Ronald Koeman discussion

I think he needs to go now. I thought he could start to turn it around but it's showing no signs of happening, and the fact we keep making the same mistakes is simply not acceptable. We look like we're going through the motions and it's just a matter of time now so just bite the bullet and be proactive while there's still a chance of turning it into a decent season.

As an aside, his interviews are really really bizarre. He lurches from moments of totally unnecessary 'honesty' in which he throws people under the bus, says players would be better leaving, and makes out like we should be pleased if we finish 16th, to really weird defences of awful performances in which he tries to make out we played well and did exactly what he wanted. At least with Moyes and Martinez you knew that they would always either talk us up or talk us down, with him it just seems like pot luck whats going to come out of his mouth.

Does feel like a head over heart decision re Unsworth. Would be great to see him as manager for all the idealist reasons, he's an Evertonian, knows the place inside out, knows the players etc., but his profile just isn't there (yet) for us to attract the sort of quality players we need.
Neither did pep or Villanova but they did alright for Barcelona, sometimes people just need to be given a chance, give unsworth the job till the end of the season then reassess if he does well the job is his if not we look elsewhere and unsworth goes back to the under 23s

Its ominous for him in terms of our fan base. However I think our Board will try to ride this one out. We have a history of it. The next batch of league fixtures (up to the international break in November) are tricky on paper. Arsenal are always beatable at home, but having just lost at Watford I'm not confident of turning them over.
Leicester away? Who knows. Watford? Given their form, who knows? Two defeats in those three games and in the bottom 3 in November and even our Board can't ignore that surely??
Stupid thing is, a win yesterday and we'd have gone up several places. Maybe thats what they're seeing rather than the non successful footballing style.

I believe if it was going to happen it would have been by last night. The guy just cant see what everyone else can and is more stubbirn and up his own arse than Martinez. At least we could enjoy sone of the football under Martinez.

My fear is that we're stuck wuth him for at least another 3/4 matches by which stage we will be out of 2 comps and possibly bottom of the league. RK wont turn it around so him leaving for me is inevitable.

Should have been sacked yesterday and Unsy put in temp charge on a trial basis. I'd give him until end if year initially and extend until end if season if he does well. It's not too late to salvage something from this.
