I've not been one of the 'Koeman Out Brigade' until this afternoon.
After almost losing to Brighton and reading the level of anger towards him on here, his time is clearly up at Goodison.
I'm not sure if Rhino is the perfect long term replacement but he certainly deserves the chance to sort things out for us.

Why is unsworth this knight in shining armour? He's managing a team at a level nobody is assed about. To think he will come in and be Alex Ferguson esque is to risky and unproven. If unsworth wasn't a blue I can bet 85% on here or in general woudnt want him as nxt manager.

I'm in the go camp but I hate the "Kopite" shouts by those who can't handle someone else having a different opinion. It's childish.

Genuinely not meant as an insult to blues. I’m baffled as to what anyone’s seen in Koeman’s performance that suggests he’ll turn it round???

And there’s bound to be a few red members here, & they would certainly want Koeman to stay. Didn’t we all feel the same about Roy Evans, Rafael, Woy & Brenton?

I suppose with a kraut user name we shouldn't be surprised with the totalitarian attitude. :)

Kraut?

Not this rude old bugger ;)

The consensus is in. Koeman... time to go.

Anyone making the comparison to Martinez, should remember, whether he was just being very clever and manipulative, Martinez at least “got us”, to an extent where positivity was rife through the club.
By all means, it was a false dawn, but for that brief moment the club was brilliant. Myers came in and made us fans feel closer to the team than ever before.the stupid things like the Christmas video, it was lovely, and when the pressure came, Martinez cracked, but at least we had the memories.

Koemans different. I just don’t think he “gets” it. I compare him to Martinez in the sense that I feel from the start he loved us and wanted the best. Koeman, by contrast, almost feels burdened by turning up every weekend, clearly with one very unrealistic eye on the Barcelona job. He slags off certain players like Barkley, but suggests Lukaku should move on to further his career. Where’s the logic? Or the loyalty?

Him and whatever heirarchy st the club, have managed to try and convey a message of mediocrity. Showing very little ambition and dampening spirits, for example, trying to spin a very fortunate penalty in the 90th minut sgsinst the relegation favourites, in a positive good point?

Pathetic.

I’m not being overly demanding in asking for fight, hunger and lsssion from the players, or the manager. But if they can’t be bothered, then why on earth should th fans turn up in amazing numbers... to see us play the worst football since Walter Smith.

It’s now over to Moshiri to show some balls, character and ruthlessness which made him a billionaire to begin with, and cut our ties, as it’s very clear they the vision you had, isn’t working.

Falling apart you are joking, we had Lukaku, Barkley and Del, then he bought Lookman and we had Bolasie.

That alone is some attack...

But what did he do
Shipped Del out
Critised Barkley at every opportunity
Never give Lookman a real chance

Then after that he went on to buy every available number 10

This squad is his making, nobody else's
Look again at the squad we had in Martinez's last season. We only had about 6 players worth keeping long term and most of them wanted out.

Yeah time’s up in my eyes.

For me all our problems stem from selling our only real striker early and not having a replacement sorted before or the same day. We seem to have bent over backwards to allow lukaku go and then hoped to get a striker in. Can you see any other team with ambition allowing their main goal threat leave before replacing him? I dont think so but the big question is who was the instigator of this was it walsh or Koeman? or was it the board? Who knows not me and certainly nobody on this forum. With the limited knowledge of what has gone on and the supposed job specs of a DoF and manager I think both Walsh and Koeman should be sacked one for poor transfer dealings and the other for extremely poor team management and tactics. You could then start on the board after that as they are the ones allowing these things to happen. Most people had seen the shortage of a striker problem since it became obvious lukaku was going so why didn't the board step in and halt what was happening? End of rant all I will say is the present situation cannot be allowed to continue or we will be in a relegation battle and that's not me being pessimistic that's being realistic.

I think its just got to the point now where there is little Koeman can do. Even if he picks the right team (which he has yet to do), the second something goes wrong heads will drop. The team are showing no faith in his tactics and no confidence in themselves. The team could really do with the new manager effect to get confidence back.

There is no right team we totally messed up in the summer all over the shop. He could do better with what he has though. The point is if he goes we need a clear recruitment strategy. What type of team are we building?
