Time for him to go

I think we need to realise that our squad is pretty bad. It was falling apart before Koeman joined and although we've spent a decent amount, a lot of players that we've brought in just aren't that great. Last season Rom made us look better than we were. Coleman is our best player, after that no one really stands out as being top class.

I'm not saying that a different manager couldn't get more out of them but I don't think Koeman should take all of the blame.

Most of the players today were signed by him, though. The reason our squad is bad is that money has been wasted on players that aren't good enough in positions we didn't need to strengthen. The buck stops with the manager.

I think there's a lot of truth in what you say. I will say this if ,as now seems inevitable, he is dismissed we need to ask questions as to our transfer dealings primarily why we were not able to supply our manager with the striker (or defender) our manager required. Walsh's head should be on the line for this as well. I like the idea of a DoF, but we need one who can do the job properly. Also why is Kenwright still here? More immediately why is he still involved in transfer dealings and what was his role in our attempts to sign a striker.?
Sadly it appears this club is still rotten from top to bottom and it is increasing obvious we will achieve absolutely nothing under the current set up.
Wondering when a sensible poster would mention the board..ie kenwrong elstone and mosh. Why are the first two still here? I suspect they are still heavily involved in transfer dealings ie Rooney for example. I find it hard to believe that Koeman had Wayne as a target ..more that he was "persuaded" that it was a good idea. I have no confidence in the present lot to do anything in the best interests of our club be it sacking RK , getting a decent replacement, or securing a new stadium....same old sh..,different day

And our decades long decline continues unabated. We're no longer a sleeping giant, we're a comatose giant whose family have started gathering round the bedside.

£6M - that will have some very decent takers.

But not Tuchel.
Feel free to vault me if it happens.

Unsworth? I'd rather find out than stick with the present manager. One year contract and see how it goes.

Well there's a great plan ! I expected better than just a populist soundbite from you David ... although I have to admit, it does have some appeal.

Absolutely

Should have gone two weeks ago in all honesty

Even though he met minimum acceptable standards last season, I've never really understood what it was he was trying to achieve with this side side as far as playing style is concerned, and I still don't see the plan

Get rid before the season is gone

If Tuchel or another top candidate can be convinced to come now, great. If not, give it to Unsworth until the end of the season

Brighton will be a difficult place to go for lots of teams. They are a decent unit. On a slight side point seeing Duffy today has solidified my belief we sold him too soon. He'd be great alongside Keane.

A draw is ok today so my thoughts roll on a bit. My belief was he needed to win at least 1 of the 4 games he had, it's now 1 from 3. I think if we don't beat Lyon that may be enough to turn me. That was the winnable game.
Duffy had a good stint with us when he played. I think his sale had less to do with how he performed and more to do with his limited potential. I'm glad that he is succeeding because I always thought he was decent. We could use someone decent right now besides Keane lol

My big fear about sacking him is that Moyes is knocking about a free agent looking for a job again and it won't require paying a club compensation. I could see Moshiri succumbing to Kenwright's charm in convincing him it will bring us stability and bargain basement signings. Watch this space, we have a history for going back.

Falling apart you are joking, we had Lukaku, Barkley and Del, then he bought Lookman and we had Bolasie.

That alone is some attack...

But what did he do
Shipped Del out
Critised Barkley at every opportunity
Never give Lookman a real chance

Then after that he went on to buy every available number 10

This squad is his making, nobody else's

He has to go. He has made everton poorer team. His style of play is park the bus coupled with no counter attack ability- this is what he sets up in his team selections every week, including against weak teams. Plus he is a poor man manager who clearly relays on anger and constant criticism to motivate his players - which doesn't work if you as the manager are incompetent.
