Ronald Koeman discussion

He would have to spend big money in January though mate.
Everyone knows we need a striker and the asking price will be like what we got for Lukaku.
Unsworth would have to be trusted with the funds as Walsh simply doesn't deliver and should be sacked.

Yes, you're right - he would need to buy a striker and Walsh certainly hasn't proved himself yet. I think he could do it, though. Chances are he'd have to spend big, but most of all he has to get the right man, not necessarily an expensive one. He might also be able to come up with a system that makes the most of what we have already.

Definitely, we messed about in Roberto's last season when we threw away the chance of winning the FA cup by not sacking him before the semi-final. We should not just casually throw away the chance of the Europa by keeping Koeman when he's a dead man walking.
Win against Lyon and we're potentially 2nd in the group! I hope Koeman can turn it around

Walsh will be okay as he won't have to convince Koeman to sign the player!

It's a must win as simple as that. If we get beat by Brighton then he's got to go because I don't want us going out of the Europa. Whatever happens we simply need to beat Lyon.
We aren't going to break the top 4 this season, even if the situation wasn't as bad as it was it'd be a stretch so I'd much rather we took the Europa seriously and went for it and if Koeman can't get the team playing and winning against Brighton then I'd much rather us give another manager a try than keep risking it with Koeman.

this week looks the best bet to get a result in the near future, and I wouldn't bank on it, unless there is a dramatic upturn in form, I would expect his sacked if there isn't a dramatic one, don't want to go into xmas needing results with this team and manager in tandem as they don't look to have the passion to win a game or the brains to manage a game.

I think he's too far gone and the inevitable is being delayed.

Not saying I'd sack him right now myself - who do we replace him with? No sarky responses of Big Sam please, and I'm aware Unsworth appears to be a big talent but is there any other current candidate?

No good sacking him with no adequate replacement, and I'd be reluctant to plunge Unsworth in at the deep end, right now - let's hope he gets a good stab at it in the future though.
Too much sense there Groucho...nobody knows his replacement ..only mad guesses ...my choice is Silva at Watford who took Hull down (oh no he got out before that didn't he ??..:cool::cool:
