Ronald Koeman discussion

It would certainly be a message of intent from the board if he is sacked soon, but we are talking about a major shift in the way Everton work in recent years. Surely there has to be some kind of milestone deadline set by the board, question is, will it be proactive, and be sorted before a relegation battle, or reactive and panicking our way through Christmas?

Sadly I feel like I’ve written the Europa League off too.

Yeah, it's gutting. In our present predicament, it's become a hindrance. I want points...lots and lots of points.
It's like the old days again. I'd rather win in the league than a cup round. Sad times.
The other results have kept us in it though. Obviously we are in a poor position but IF we can beat Lyon at home it is back on because they will be only 2 points from 9. If Atalanta and Apollon take points off each other..... Obviously our play gives no reason for optimism but we are still in it.

Nothing to feel sorry about with those feelings.
On paper it looked as if we had finally mustered a squad that could compete on a few fronts.
Sadly that's not been the case so already we need to prioritise our real needs.

I think Moshiri burnished Koemans ego, "Hollywood manager" big pay off to get him. That leads to Koeman feeling he is bullet proof, and then seemingly picks fights all over the shop.

Not a scooby if the rumours about some players being a bit off with him are true, dont care really, they are professional footballers who should play professional football whoever is putting the cones out.

But imo, his days are numbered. Way too much at stake to even flaunt with bottom half/bottom 6 scenario.

You're right of course, we are still in it. At present though, I just want to climb that league, anything else is a bonus.

Exactly this really. The league has become massive.

Aye, a very odd thing to say about Koeman. He even had me convinced.

I know what you mean. I am just hoping that a bit of a break or improvement in the one might rub off on the performances in the other......optimism and hope......a couple of decent performances and results will lead to a run. RK does go with streaks doesn't he, if you know what I mean!?!

The break is killing me. It's either get back to winning ways, or it's just delaying the inevitable. It's a transfer window we needed, not an international jolly up.

I just cant see it Gaz. Everything seems bust. The fullback(s), the CH(s), nil wingers/width, no striker, of note.

4 #10s, with nothing to pass to.

But I am in a fug having had a week off, and back to work tomorrow.

I just want Everton to win. Every single game. Who is in charge makes no difference to me really.

I want us to win the next 2 games as unlikely as that feels right now. But what if we win those 2. And then the next 67 games too?

If we don’t then he may well get the chop anyway. And what about if we do lose them and he still isn’t sacked? Are you just going to want Everton to lose every game until he’s gone?

I understand he’s doing pretty bad right now. I’m not daft. But pro actively wanting Everton to lose? No chance.
I think we will probably lose 2 out of the next 3 anyway, i just want see Everton settled doing things the right way. Since Moyes went it's basically been a bit of a mess, yes there have been a few good moments but in the main there hasn't been any progress at all.
