Ronald Koeman discussion

Don’t think our board are as trigger happy as we’d like them to be. Suspect if we go winless in October they’ll pull the trigger either before or after the Lyon away game in November. Out of Europe, the LC, and up against it to come 7th again. And that’s not even a stretch at this point, based on our performances.

I’d rather we turned it round so I didn’t have to sit through another month of turgid performances but part of me thinks we’d be better off in the long term if he leaves soon.

So your happy to see Koeman stay? You must enjoy having your weekends ruined. I've followed Everton for nearly 30 years and this is the first time I'm starting to lose interest in football, that down to Koeman I'm fed up with us continually failing and playing very boring football, he's had long enough it's about time the owners got proactive and got someone in who is capable of doing the job properly, the last 2 aren't.

I just want Everton to win. Every single game. Who is in charge makes no difference to me really.

I want us to win the next 2 games as unlikely as that feels right now. But what if we win those 2. And then the next 67 games too?

If we don’t then he may well get the chop anyway. And what about if we do lose them and he still isn’t sacked? Are you just going to want Everton to lose every game until he’s gone?

I understand he’s doing pretty bad right now. I’m not daft. But pro actively wanting Everton to lose? No chance.

You have a good point, but surely we cant keep going from a couple of winnable game then to expected to lose game. What sort of encouragement is that putting in the players heads?. The expected to lose game we have already played we have been awful in, as if the players or manager weren't trying at least in Moyes days they looked to be putting the effort in. My only wish is for Koeman to be gone and start a fresh, but if we lose to Lyon that's us virtually if not out of Europe it's going to be very hard for Koeman after that.
If we go out of the Europa that's sackable in itself given that both Moyes and Martinez managed to get us through the group stages and they hadn't splurged £200 million plus!

... Koeman doesn’t seem to be the type who’ll roll up his sleeve with a steely determination to turn things around. I might be wrong, but it looks like he distances himself from his players and the team looks isolated and leaderless. I sincerely hope he can get back to winning ways but the signs are not good.
Think you've hit the nail on the head with that comment Eggs! Rooney looks like the one who's trying to do something but when you're faced with dire tactics and team selection the only person who can change it is the manager.

Half of them hadn't met before.....we have some good players....that's part of the mystery regarding performances...but RK is still doing the job the owner has asked him to do....he's not even halfway to completion yet........
So you are happy with everything. I think the concern is we appear to be in free fall and there is no direction in averting it. I honestly feel if the performances were improving RK may be given more time, but he is so stubborn in his actions people are rightly so annoyed and concerned

after kendall brought in the magnificent 7 we struggled and looked like a disorganised mess until the Oxford match. it's the only thing that stops me from totally avoiding Everton related thoughts at the moment. Kendall loved the club though and was desprate to turn it around. Koeman says what we all are thinking in his interviews but I can't see any of those criticisms being addressed on the field. I thought the days of me enjoying international breaks were well behind me but not having to face another Everton game where we simply don't turn up, even at Goodison, is a good thing
