Hopefully the new contract was merely a plot to retain his value, which I'd guess must be around 10 million. Rather have Lennon on the field than him nowadays, and definitely Bolasie once fit. Mirallas is finished with us, which is a shame as I think he is a fan favourite and people are desperate to like him and for him to regain his form, but it ain't coming back.

Wish he would stick nearer to the byline and help us spread the oppositions defence around a bit more, but in reality that's not how Kev likes to play.

Too many low crosses that didn't reach their targets last night

Aside from that, I thought he did well
His corner in the 1st half was also in a very dangerous spot which forced the keeper to punch it out which led to our goal. If he failed anywhere tonight, it was his crossing. He can be forgiven for that because he is a right-footed player playing on the left side, so it is natural instinct to cut in. If anyone is going to be the scapegoat, it may as well be Kev tbh. Must have completed 90 percent of his passes last night

Thought he could have been played as a no 9 last night - first half never moved much from the touch line!
improved in the 2nd half spread some nice passed , but Lookman was the one full of tricks!

I actually enjoyed that Joey, both him and Lookman basically glued to the touchline stretched our play out nicely and for the first time in a long time we looked to have some width. Won't always work but I thought it was good tactics by Koeman and I can see why he was so annoyed that we didn't put them to bed about 5/6 nil last night because we had the absolute beating of tjem down both flanks, especially on the right

Good on the right, not on the left.
I always thought some of his best play came from being paired with Coleman on the right. I understand why Koeman wants him on the left as he can cut in and get a strike off, but he looks more natural on his right foot.
