Any Idea how much Pocch is offering him mate, and how come Levy has left the offering of his contract up to the manager for the first time ever?

No. Nothing mate.

You will see him signing for Spurs or another CL club by the end of the window though....you do accept that dont you?

Dave - managers don't hand out contracts to players, they just say yay or nay to wanting the player and that is taken on board in the decision to offer or not to offer, the value of the contract, that will be getting decided by the CEO/Chairman etc
I think there's a bit more to it than that. With transfer fees and wages the manager may not get involved in actual figures but would give an indication to the board just how much of a priority someone should be.

He very well may do mate.

As for it being spurs, not unless they will completely shatter their wage structure - which given reports how far away both parties where on those figures, and after Rose comments today - whose only on 60k as the best left back in this league, i seriously doubt he will be going there.

Remove spurs from the mix, the list of teams he could go too is not exactly massive and he wouldn't start for any of them either.

If he does go Spurs etc for 60k pw - which is less than he is currently on, then it effectively confirms that he is leaving the club for none footballing reasons as a lot of rumours suggest may indeed be the case

Yup and by all accounts it would have been the largest contract we have ever given a player at the time, and according to different sources more close to Spurs, what they are willing to offer is massively lower than the offer he has already turned down with us.

Both those support the fact the manager actually did rate him and wished to retain him.

Unless Koeman is that Machiavellian that he spent an entire year concentrating on Ross more than any other player in terms of trying to bring about an improvement in terms of him maturing as a player, supported the player VERY publicly when the off the field stuff happened (which incidentally would have been the perfect time to throw him under the bus really if he did want shut) and had the board make him a very lucrative offer - all in order to drive him out the club.

Newcastle nailed on.

Fatty all over the tabloids whinging about the lack of spending and how they're already in trouble due to lack of bringing new players in

Based on nothing at all, there is one (as yet to actually qualify for the CL) club, that might have a big hole to fill in their side if Barcelona are serious in their pursuit of a player, that he would deffo get a start in........dont think the servers would cope if THAT happened.

I actually think he may end up staying, IF something can be sorted to make the off the field stuff go away, as still think that is the driving behind the scenes reason for him going

Oh I'm not saying he's been driven out, was just clarifying that the manager is not excluded from these negotiations.

I actually don't think the player 'actually' wants to move mate and a lot of this is stalling for time
