That reeks of Moyes - remember his preference to play Lescott over Baines at left back because of his fears about Baines being too small and vulnerable in the air? (Why buy him if that's the case? He wasn't ever likely to grow)

Unless you're a Tony Pulis side, you don't really see much of this anymore.

I watched Kenny play CB in a mini derby in Southport a few years ago and he was genuine quality. Browning played right back, then they swapped at half time and Kenny was again excellent as the right back

To be fair to Moyes (and I can be sometimes...) he played Lescott there because Baines was injured and then Lescott went on to play well there, scoring a bunch of goals.

Lescott deserved to stay there at the time.

Its been one game! A European game, in what is effectively still pre-season.

We have a lot of young players now too, perhaps he doesn't want to count on too many of them.

Kenny will get game time I reckon as long as he doesn't go out on loan or anything. The problem both of them will have regardless is the shadow of Coleman, if and when he comes back he will no doubt go straight in to the team.

I'm almost certain there was a press conference or interview where Moyes referenced Baines' lack of height as a reason for not playing him

This - and if Kenny can't do enough to get past him and Holgate (can he ever do enough, both literally and figuratively is another question) well it's all moot...until Colman comes back Martina is the best(?) we have.

Serious question. I've used the term a couple of times myself re Martina referencing his close resemblance to a clown in a football kit. Having just fallen foul of the mods through my own naivety I don't want it to happen again.
