Ofc they do mate, but never underestimate what one performance can do in a very high profile game, seen enough players bought seemingly entirely from 1-2 good games in a world cup over the years/

IF a couple of the Ajax players had absolutely world class games against United - then you would see interest in them rise a lot i think

Possibly but pretty sure if any of them are available the big guns will already have made their interest known.

Yeah but certain of the players will be hetisant about making a BIG move just yet - Dolberg for one said as much, performing against a team of United stature in a European final may get some teams thinking a bit harder about if maybe he is ready right now for that move

Exactly. Sissoko got himself a move to Spurs on the back off a few decent showings at the WC.

Kolasanic the Schalke left back that various media outlets said was done and dusted on a free from Schalke to Arsenal has not come close yet to being done either mate - 'hopefully' we are offering the kind of wages to these guys agents that are making them think twice at least

Thing is - there is going to be a price point at which Ajax desire to hold onto him for another season will be outweighed by the fee being paid, we almost certainly won't do so, but we should meet that price - the lad would move as well of that i am convinced, even if he just saw it as a career progression or stepping stone.

To bridge the gap - that's the type of player needed - obtainable for a high price, rather than chasing names that are already established and want that big move now

That's the area we have to exploit: players who the big guns look at and wonder whether they can make the big time and swerve for more evidence.

The likes of Tielemans have been given too much fanfare and I think he's now beyond us.

It may be stereotyping, but i also get the feeling the Belgium players always want that big move instantly, a Danish player - maybe not so much

Dolberg IMO anyway, is a far superior prospect to Tielemans, not knocking the Belgium lad, but one of his best attributes is his long range shooting etc - not a chance on earth he gets the space he's been used to and will he be able to adjust?

Dolberg looks very much the complete centre forward.

Dendoncker is another interesting one - bit older than both - but maybe one of those thats managed to pass udner the radar as he's a more defensive player

In a world where Jordan Ibe goes for 15m, Bolasie for 23m, Niasse goes for 13m and we where willing and Spurs DID pay 30m for Sissoko Martial for God knows how much, then Dolberg is comfortably worth whatever Ajax would want to let him go - be that 30-40m or higher

Just like in January, they've had absolute ages to prepare for this and there's no reason whatsoever why the deals couldn't be done already and announced on 1 July. Now I strongly doubt that's the case as that rules out BK being able to haggle on the last 50 quid of the deal, but until we start doing our dealings like a big team, then we will remain an irrelevance.

...forgot about him. He would be interesting.
