Ross Barkley

...I think the days of hand to mouth existence have gone, but the fair play restrictions will apply. I'd be amazed if a contract offer hasn't been made to Barkley, not sure where the indication that one hasn't is coming from. The interviews I've heard suggest offers have been made to both players but there's nothing the club can do if neither want to sign.
spot on Eggs, Foeman has publicly said Barkley should sign the new contract or he'll be sold. Can't be much clearer than that.

"We offer him a new contract and then [there are] two possibilities," Koeman said at his post-match media conference.

"One, he signs that contract. If he doesn't sign that contract, then we need to sell the player.

"It is simple, it is not so difficult in my opinion."

Unclear from that if a contract has been offered or will be offered.

Still, it'd be a bit odd if at this stage Barkley didn't know what was offered. I suppose by not formally offering one we avoid the Lukaku situation of the offered contract not being signed.

...surely there's an offer on the table which he's not signing. I don't know which side above us in the pecking order might want him. He's either playing silly buggers or he just want to leave. If he wants to leave, I wonder who will be after him. I presume there's been contact with his agent so I'm really interested who might take a plunge on him and how much they're prepared to pay.

Can't picture him in another clubs kit.

This broke my little 6 year old heart!! Still makes me emotional!!

If we are offering him £100k a week or more then thats more than Spurs pay Erikson, Alli and Kane - cant see Barkley being the top earner as it probably wouldnt go down too well.

We'll offer him a decent to great contract. But I don't think him signing it is down to the money.

He either wants to be at Everton because he loves us or he feels his career will progress better elsewhere.

Really don't see him as a money grabber.
