That's actually a very good point. I doubt those who have very quickly stick the knife in were going to the opposite end of the spectrum when we battered City.

I hate 3 at the back too.

He experimented with it last season with Southampton. Did well with it, had some hurdles, then changed it again.

Long term I don't believe it's the right system to be using, especially against teams in the top half of the table.

I think Koeman needs to take a sledge hammer to the Jagielka/Baines generation and appoint a new captain for next season.Both of those players are great Evertonians and great servants of our club but they for me represent and embody a certain meek nice guy mentality that we need to root out of the club.We have to get more cynical characters into the squad who will do anything to win.Oh and we need a proper goal keeper as well.We have made great progress this season under Koeman but there's still a lot of crap for him to straighten out.

I was extremely disappointed with baines second half he couldn't even clear his lines kept giving it straight back to them the game was lost it's not exactly a hanging offence but he just didn't seem up for it & as a senior player needed to stand up & be counted.

To be fair I don't think the majority are. You get so pumped up for this game, even though it's foolish to really given how it always goes, and when we play so badly I think it's natural there's a higher level of disappointment. Especially when the manager is as culperble as the players for the performance and result. It's obvious we are a much improved team under Koeman however that shouldn't make him immune to criticism when he has a mare.

Understand your viewpoint but actually thought Baines was reasonable today. Jags was gone 12 months ago and Williams is not the answer

While Jagielak certainly isn't the long term answer and needs to be replaced, however to be fair to him he was one of our best this afternoon.
