They Don't Get It Do They?

With senior pros like Jagielka & Baines, it's not going to change. Been bottling derbies/big games for last decade. Too nice, don't want it badly enough, it's become contagious thru whole club. Harsh, but true.

Got no chance of that happening mate, need proper players who arn't utter cowards

We are going nowhere of note til we can beat them.

I expected a Lukaku Hatrick today.

Maybe he ain't all that. Coz for 40-50-60 million or whatever people say he's worth, he didn't change today's game and that's what those top players do.

Oh well. Placed my mandatory derby bet on a Liverpool win as usual so that's come through for me again.

Need to recruit some men not a bunch of whimpering school boys. Cahill had no problem turning up against this lot, neither did Ferguson, but there's not one talisman in this team who backs himself, not one.

Not even Lukaku to get his Champions League move by the looks of it...

Okay, first things first. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the big teams are very good at home, so going to their ground and getting a result is not easy at all.

But, time after time our team has found itself in a position to go on to do something special, and has wilted under the pressure. It's what separates us as 'best of the rest' and a regular member of the top four.

Bruce mate its now 18 years,18 chances to win there, when you consider some of the teams they have lost to there on more than one occasion it is an absolute joke,it is at the stage now as Carragher alluded to in Adams interview a "mental" block we have.

If we got outclassed each time then I could live with what but we're nowhere near our best. They're probably the 5th or 6th best team in the league, we're probably the 7th, I don't think you'd find any other teams so closely positioned where one hadn't beat the other for 7 years.

his performance today reiterated to me why no top european club would want him. clueless.

top forwards drag the rest of the team into the game. ive seen costa do it on numerous occaisions this season, zlatan has carried united thro much of this season, making the team tick and not allowing the team to rest on their laurels.

he didnt seem interested. if you want to be a top chamions league strike then 'dis-interest' isnt what any team are looking for.

For sure. Bar maybe a few of those seasons, the Liverpool side we face have not been great, yet we roll over and get our bellies tickled every year. Liverpool today weren't great whatsoever, but by midway through the second half we'd given up the ghost and they were going through the motions. It was beyond lame.

Problem is they turn up for the big games regardless whereas we only ever do if we either feel agrieved (Chelsea after the stones saga or man city after the Lescott one) we are simply too nice.

Problem is our players don't hate them enough to get the 3 points. All this don't sell the sun campaign and hand holding that goes on I agree with as a fan, but I honestly think the slight ties we have with that lot off the pitch due to events in the past/our locality being so close sharing a city etc. Actually damages us.

Same way if Utd disrespect us and try signing Rom in the summer no doubt we'll tonk them at Goodison but go to OT and we won't do anything as the players need that hatred atmosphere to get themselves going which is a joke.
