It was me and it's correct judgment of his game, but in reality goalkeepers in Premiership are usually better in shotstopping than in attacking crosses, because of physical air battles in penalty box. And Mucha is pretty decent in punching the ball, so he should do alright.

I really rate him and definitely Moyes had to promise him a fair shot, he wouldn't come here otherwise, having many other offers. And he is too good to accept Wessels/Nash role, or to be wasted in this role.

I doubt that he will be able to kick out Howard from nr1 position, but I can see him getting some games and being a very valuable back up...the most valuable back up since... I have no idea how long :).

If he won't be getting any games, he will leave during winter window of 2nd season or after end of that season.

not sure i agree with that statement.
a good prem keeper has to be a shot stopper and very strong at 'claiming' crosses.
a continental keeper who punches rather than catches crosses is destined to fail in the prem imo.
gomes at spurs is a good example .in his first season he punched crosses mostly and was punished for it a lot. now after the spurs keeping coach has worked with him , he uses more strength and catches rather then punches and is looking more like a good keeper again.

There is Lech Poznan - Legia Warsaw game going on now, big game for polish standards. If anyone want to check out Mucha, there are some sopcast streams available from this game.
Legia in red shirts.

I hope Moyes gives him games then to prove his worth, a 3 year contract is not much. If no games may think stuff this and go.

Considering his age, likely participation in WC, & enhanced value to clubs as a freebie...kind of makes you wonder a bit, no??

Not from Moyes' standpoint, seems like a no-brainer for Everton. But for Mucha, is there something else in play which made him feel this was his best option? For goalies, being the number 1 is so important (obviously) & as I mentioned, considering the WC/freebie factors, I'm not sure I get why he'd bite on a pre-contract at this point. Not when the team's established keeper is 30. That's not to say he lacks the confidence to think he can compete w/ Howard, I'm sure he believes in his abilities. But he's also smart enough to know how tough it can be to surpass an established #1 just entering his prime.

I don't know, just seems a bit odd. I keep coming back to the Moyes factor in my head. Seems like he's a stand up dude who players tend to trust & believe in. And I guess in a way that's what makes me wonder.

As a Yank, I know I've never personally heard anything that would lead me to believe Howard is even remotely interested in leaving Everton. But on the other hand, it's always kind of amazed me how poor the keeping can (at times) be for some of the traditional "big" clubs (easy boyz, I've been converted....don't post much but even after LD's return home GOT is still one of my first tabs in the browser!). To be fair, I love Timmay, but it still kind of amazes me how he landed the ManUre gig in the first place given his inexperience.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I have a clear point here, but wouldn't surprise me if Howard had a gentleman's agreement w/ Moyes regarding post-WC move if the right opportunity came about. Kind of like a, "ok, let's say you light it up this summer & someone was willing to offer a hefty fee which could help both player & club". Part of why I say that is, while I believe he's truly happy & in love w/ Everton, as a competitor there must be something inside him (even if just the teeniest tiniest surpressed urge) which makes him want to prove he can succeed at a ManU or the like. He wasn't ready then & I'm sure he would admit to that, but....well I don't know what else but just throwing it out there.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling just seems a bit strange. Anyone else or am I going crazy way overthinking??
