Take a draw now?

Absolutely not, no. The trophy drought is one thing and in some ways explainable but the derby record this century is unforgivable. As much as Jags injury time goal was great it still felt slightly empty to me as it was only a draw and the years without a win at Anfield was prolonged.

Felt the same after Jagielka's goal. We got away with one big time that day. Awful performance and an absolute miracle of a goal.

Nope, that 4-0 drubbing still hurts when I think of when that 4th went in, the camera pans to the RS bench and Klopp and the rest of the bellends are all laughing their heads off, high fiving each other, as an Everton fan I've never felt so small time.

Koeman and the players need to believe they can go there and win, if we play for a draw, we'll get beat.

Go there with a proper attitude and a plan to win it, then give it our best shot.
If we go like Vs Spurs A; KITAP1...might as well not bother
Koeman sorts this tactically and he's well justified his 6M.

Imagine the antics from klippity worzel on the line

Well the best plan to win it won't be too far from how we set up against Spurs.

Swansea, Wolves, Chelsea, Southampton, United - All played deep defensive lines and hit them quick on the break. All took results.

Arsenal, City, Spurs - All had a go at them and were comfortably picked off.

It's going to be ugly to watch but it'll be the right way to go about it.

Know what you're saying mate but we played a deep defensive line against Spurs and still got beat, also if we're honest the scoreline flattered us.

Obviously we can't go Gung - ho against the RS, but we need to show more of an attacking threat in the early part of the game than we did against Spurs.

If we want to keep Lukaku and attract world class players.

NO.

Fed up of a defeatist mentality.
Go there and win.

Koeman and Moshiri are wanting success and that starts with winning difficult away games asap.

I just want us to turn up and play without any fear for once - I was there when Campbell scored and in many years since - in that time we've seen some good, mostly bad and at times embarrassing performances from the Blues.

For the good, I remember going there twice in the same week with Cup and league games and being unbeaten - granted didn't win either - but it was a moral victory, especially when Gosling scored at Goodison to see us through in the replay.

A disputed penalty at the Kop end saw another draw after we were 2 - 1 up after an insipid first half but a turn of form in the second.

For the bad and embarrassing, the last few visits cover that sufficiently, so I fully get the lack of confidence from some posters. It was humiliating last year - cut me to the bone - my first post on this site followed that game asking for the manager to show us some respect and resign.

So, come Saturday, the result will be what it is. We have enough quality to take an attacking threat to them, which may well be on the counter attack. It's about taking those chances and playing with the confidence that the team have. We have shown we can defend and it looks like there will be another rethink depending on Funes Mori after earlier tonight with Argentina.

It's a cauldron in there for those that may not have experienced it - it ain't that friendly - the nets above the Lower Anny Road may stop the plastic cups, but their often warm contents don't miss you below. The view ain't great but it's a special atmosphere for sure. For some players, over the years, it's got to them.

But would I take a draw? Ahead of the game - no chance - we go there with a team that is more than capable of winning. The game itself will determine whether a draw is a good point or not.

Yes. In a heartbeat.

Since the turn of the century, there have been thirty four Merseyside derby matches in the Premier League.

We've won just three of those, while the RS have won almost half of them.

Yes, we hardly can put a side out, kids and pensioners in key positions. As usual the Derby has come at a perfect time for them.
